Reigning Serie A champions Napoli are firmly in contention to retain their crown and know a victory against Como would see them end Saturday night with a three-point cushion at the summit.

Match News and Current Form

Napoli made it seven wins from nine Serie A fixtures (L2) and recorded their first clean sheet across ten competitive games when they beat Lecce 1-0 away on Tuesday. Returning to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona this weekend, the hosts will be looking to stretch their unbeaten home run in all competitions to a remarkable 17 matches (W13, D3), which includes five wins from five games so far this season. Napoli beat fellow title challengers Inter Milan 3-1 in their last such outing, and having won their last five Serie A matches at home, they could now post their longest such winning run since February 2023 here.

After conceding just six goals across their opening nine Serie A matches, Como begin this round of fixtures with the second-best defensive record in the division and find themselves in the thick of the European race. Unbeaten across all competitions since the start of September (W4, D4), Cesc Fabregas’ side saw off struggling Verona 3-1 at home on Wednesday to get back on track following a goalless draw away at Parma last weekend. That draw means they arrive in Naples having lost only one of their last eight games on the road (W4, D3), although their 2-1 triumph at Fiorentina over a month ago remains their solitary away victory of this campaign (D2, L1).

Head-to-Head History

Como have won four of the last five H2Hs between the sides (L1), but both meetings last season were won by the home side on the day.

Betting Analysis

It’s hard to look past the hosts here, but with Como in a purple patch of their own, backing Napoli to win and both teams to score could carry value.
