Nice will be looking to leapfrog Paris FC when they welcome the newly-promoted side to the Allianz Riviera, with both teams currently locked on six points in the bottom half of Ligue 1.

Match News and Current Form

Nice followed up a humiliating 4-1 defeat against Brest last Saturday with a 2-1 reversal against Roma in their UEFA Europa League opener on Thursday to make it six defeats in eight games across all competitions this term (W2). The Eaglets have at least won five of their last six league encounters on their own turf (L1), with three of those matches seeing them secure clean sheets. They could do with rediscovering that defensive resilience as the nine goals they’ve conceded after five games is their highest tally at this stage of a season since 2014/15, and given they went on to finish 11th that campaign, they know all too well how a leaky defence can ruin a season.

After matchday five, Paris FC’s games have featured the joint-most goals of any team in the division (21), but unfortunately for them, 12 of them have been at the wrong end. Conceding goals remains their primary concern, but the Blues have acquitted themselves well so far in their first top-flight campaign for 47 years and won on their last away outing, beating Brest 2-1 to give them hope of another positive result here, but a failure to win successive encounters on their travels since October 2024 raises doubts over their credentials here.

Head-to-Head History

These two teams last played each other in 1979, and overall, the H2H record is locked at three wins apiece. All six meetings have been won by the home side on the day.

Hot Stats and Streaks

Nice’s last eight league games have alternated between a loss and a win.

Ahead of the round, only Metz (28) and Angers (27) have faced more shots on target than Nice (26) in Ligue 1 this season.

Six of Paris FC’s last 11 games have featured a red card.

Paris FC have gone nine away matches without a clean sheet - their worst run since September 2014.

Key Players to Watch and Missing Players

Terem Moffi has scored in Nice’s last two games, but he has been on the losing side in four of his last eight scoring appearances (W3, D1). A goal from Paris FC’s Nouha Dicko could be an even worse omen given that he’s lost on his last four scoring club appearances.

Nice don’t seem to have any fresh injury concerns, while Paris FC centre-back Otávio returns from suspension.

Betting Analysis

Given the high-scoring nature of these teams, backing over 3.5 goals might be worth taking a punt on.
