Two teams who have not been beaten in Ligue 1 for several weeks meet here as Rennes take on Nice, with both sides sitting on 11 points in mid-table.

Match News and Current Form

Rennes have gone unbeaten in their last six Ligue 1 matches, but it has been far from plain sailing, as five of those have seen them share the spoils. The Red and Blacks should have substantially more than the 11 points that they have accumulated, as they have held the lead at one point in four of those five draws. At least the likelihood of continuing their unbeaten streak seems high as they return to Roazhon Park where they're unbeaten this season (W2, D2), last going the first five home games of a French top-flight campaign without defeat in 2016/17.

Nice lost for the fourth time in their last seven matches in midweek European action away at Celta Vigo (2-1), but those three unbeaten games all came in their most recent Ligue 1 outings (W1, D2). Hitting the road does not hold much promise for the Eaglets though, as they have failed to win on any of their last seven away trips (D1, L6), with three of those coming in the league this season (D1, L2), putting Nice at risk of starting a top-flight campaign without claiming a victory in the first four games on their travels for the first time since 2012/13.

Head-to-Head History

Rennes have won their last three home games against Nice, and the fact that they have scored in all but one of the last 12 H2Hs at any venue should see them push for another win here.

Hot Stats and Streaks

Four of Rennes’ last five games have produced more than 3.5 goals.

There has been a red card in three of Rennes’ four home matches this season.

Nice’s last seven games have each seen both teams score.

None of Nice’s last six matches have been decided by more than a one-goal margin.

Key Players to Watch and Missing Players

Rennes’ Ludovic Blas has just one career goal against Nice, and will be looking for more as six of his last seven strikes have come at home. Outdoing opposing number 10 Sofiane Diop will be tough, as he has scored four times in Nice’s last three league games, with all of those goals coming between the 25th and 40th minute.

Rennes will be sweating on the fitness of Przemysław Frankowski after he missed last weekend’s game against Auxerre, while Nice have a substantial list of absentees, headlined by Terem Moffi.

Betting Analysis

The last six H2Hs have been won by the side playing at home, so betting on Rennes to win and break their drawing streak seems sensible.
