22:57 GMT - That's a wrap from us tonight, thanks for joining us!
22:40 GMT - Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola to TNT Sports: "I had the feeling it was a good game. Madrid have the ability and quality. It is what it is. The performance was better than the result.
"We have one week. They defend so well, eight players, 11 players. Unfortunately, we could not do it. We tried to score a goal.
"Now we recover mentally. Going to West Ham in London will be tough. We will see next week at home with our people. I am sure they will come.
"With football you never know. We might find something. We will try. We will recover and think of the next one."
22:32 GMT - Real Madrid's Trent Alexander-Arnold to TNT Sports: "Massive, massive performance. With the way we've been playing and the results we've had, a lot of people expected us to half get battered tonight. But we showed the mentality.
"This competition means a lot to the club and, as players, we understand that. We executed the game plan perfectly in the first half.
"When you get to knockout football in the Champions League, anyone can beat anyone. We scored our goals ruthlessly and, no matter who is in front of us, we want to win.
"I'm loving it here. It's a dream come true to be playing in a stadium like this at a club like this. I'm trying to embrace the culture. The lads, the fans and the city have accepted me with open arms. We hope to have a successful season, but now the focus is on the second leg next week."
22:24 GMT - Arsenal's Kai Havertz to reporters: "Penalties in the last minutes are not always easy. The time between the whistle and taking the penalty felt like an eternity. But in these moments, you need to be present.
"These are the moments I've worked for for years, to be there in moments like that.
"I know the stadium, and I've already converted many penalties from this spot.
"Of course, I'm sorry for Leverkusen, but that's football."
22:21 GMT - PSG's Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to TNT Sports: "I'm very happy I can help the team, but I'm more happy that we won against Chelsea because they are a good team.
"I think we showed today that we are capable of everything. We just have to continue like this.
"We conceded two goals, and we can see the mistakes we made, but we are happy with a three-goal victory. We will focus now on the next game."
22:19 GMT - Here's a full rundown of the results from the last 16 first legs on what has been a rather chastening week for the English sides:

23:00 GMT - That's a wrap from us this evening, we'll be back tomorrow with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City all in last-16 action. Night!
22:53 GMT - Tottenham manager Igor Tudor to TNT Sports: "No (whether starting Kinsky was wrong), after you see what happened, it's the wrong decision. But it was the right decision before.
"A change of competition, it was the right moment. Unfortunately, what happened, happened. I never changed a goalkeeper after 20 minutes.
"It was a strange game, a very strange game. We gave them three goals. We even started good, then the problems kill us in three situations.
"Very, very strange. Very unusual. It took our confidence. We had an opportunity to make it 4-2, but we conceded a goal, making it 5-1.
"We apologise to the fans and to everyone. It's a difficult moment. Everything looks like it's going wrong. We pay for small mistakes. Everything, unbelievable.
"It's unbelievably difficult to explain all these things, the first time in my career that I saw these things, 15 years.
"I'm focused on the problems, the players also. We need to stay positive."
22:49 GMT - Newcastle boss Eddie Howe to Amazon Prime: "I thought we were outstanding, a really, really good performance. We kept the intensity up. The moment at the end takes that in a negative light, but one of our best performances.
"We had our shape, there's no way we should concede that goal. We will look at it but I don't want it to override the 93 minutes before that, in which we were quality.
"I thought we had enough to score before we did. The game showed we are capable, but we know we probably have to give more to their stadium. We are capable of doing it, but we will need to be at our very best.
"It is my job to try to pick them up. We have unfortunately had to do that a few times this season, but our strength of character should never be in doubt. We will be ready by the time the next game comes around.
"We believe in ourselves and our capability, and we have shown that today."

They're open to the counter, though, with Victor Osimhen causing chaos whenever Galatasaray get the chance to break.
19:16 GMT - Liverpool think they've equalised through a scruffy melee in the box, but VAR rules out the goal after deciding Ibrahima Konate handled the ball into the net.
19:05 GMT - Galatasaray think they've gone 2-0 up, but Baris Alper Yilmaz is adjudged to be offside in the build-up.

After a fast start on Tyneside, the big-money German has struggled to find the net in recent months and a Champions League tie under the lights could be the ideal chance to change his fortunes.
