Luke Humphries eased into Finals Day at the Swiss Darts Trophy in St. Jakobshalle with a thumping 6-2 win over Callan Rydz on Saturday.
The world number one had been handed a tough opening match against the recent World Championship quarter-finalist, but after breaking the 27-year-old's throw in the opening leg held his own to storm into a 3-1 lead.
Humphries won three of the next four legs with an average of 100.13 to storm into the next round where he will face Ryan Searle.
Stephen Bunting booked his place in Sunday's showdown with a 6-3 win over Chris Landman.
The number two seed, in the absence of Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen, was 2-0 and 3-2 down, and despite struggling with his checkouts - hitting only six of 18 - won the next four legs to book his place in round three against Krzysztof Ratajski.
Raymond van Barneveld also came from behind, battling from 3-1 and 4-2 down to beat the world number 11 Damon Heta 6-5.
The Dutchman will next face Ritchie Edhouse.
Elsewhere Jonny Clayton edged past Nathan Aspinall 6-4 and will come up against last year's champion Martin Schindler after the German beat fellow countryman Ricardo PIetreczko 6-3.
There were also wins for Chris Dobey, Jermaine Wattimena and Ryan Joyce, who knocked out one of the pre-tournament favourites James Wade 6-5.
Round three gets underway on Sunday from 11am BST, with the evening session, featuring the quarter-finals, semi-final and final, slated for a 5pm BST start.
