Gerwyn Price has won night 11 of the Premier League in Brighton after beating Michael Smith 6-3 in the final.

In the first leg, Price struggled as he missed three arrows on 40 and gifting Smith a chance, but he could not punish the mistake.

Price came back for double 10 and took the early lead. In the second leg, Bullyboy threw his second 180 and partly as a result he quickly ran away. He threw out 36 to make it 1-1.

Price started the next leg with a maximum score to easily take a 2-1 lead. In the fourth leg, The Iceman did not yield and Smith calmly took the leg from 92 in seven darts to level things again at 2-2. Smith had a chance for a break from 81, but missed the bullseye.

Price also failed to throw 25 out and so Smith still took the break via double 10 to make it 3-2. Price had another chance to finish from tops, but missed. Smith also missed and double 10 gave Price a break: 3-3.

He pressed on in the seventh leg by throwing out 80 in two arrows. The double 10 was again found by the Welshman, putting him ahead 4-3. In the eighth leg, the first barrel-plus finish was thrown.

Price hit 117 from tops and was on match point: 5-3. He finished Smith off by checking out 59 to take the spoils 6-3.

Semi-finals

Smith 6-5 Wright

Michael Smith missed a 170 checkout in the first leg, allowing Peter Wright to take a 1-0 lead. Wright missed a 78 checkout in the next leg, and Smith took advantage to break and lead 2-0. Wright responded by hitting a 121 checkout to level the match at 2-2.

He then took the lead in the third leg with a double 8 finish. Smith tied the match at 3-3 by hitting a 56 checkout. He then threw a 180, but Wright missed a chance to take the lead on 80. Smith did not miss from 71, and took the break to lead 4-2.

Wright broke back immediately to level the match at 4-4. He then won the seventh leg to take a 5-4 lead.

Smith tied the match at 5-5 in the eighth leg with a 85 checkout. Wright took the lead in the ninth leg with a 25 checkout, but Smith responded with a 160 checkout to force an eleventh leg.

Wright started the last leg with two 140s, but missed one match dart on bullseye. Smith then threw out double to win the match 6-5.

Price 6-5 Van Gerwen

Both players threw 180s in the first leg, but Van Gerwen took the lead with a 32 checkout. He then threw an 88 checkout to lead 2-0. Price won his first leg with a 72 checkout, but Van Gerwen responded with a 120 checkout to lead 3-2.

Van Gerwen took out 62 to lead 4-2, but Price won the next two legs to level the match at 4-4. Price almost threw a nine-darter in the eighth leg, but missed double 10.

He won the leg with a 44 checkout to lead 5-4. The match was tied at 5-5 after the tenth leg.

Price took the lead in the deciding leg with a 180, but missed double 12 for the match. Van Gerwen failed to throw a 170 checkout, and Price won the leg with a 12 checkout to win the match 6-5.
