21:56 GMT – FULL-TIME! Man Utd and Tottenham are through to the quarter-finals of the Europa League, Chelsea are through to the last eight of the Europa League.

21:52 GMT – GOAL! We’re into five minutes of stoppage time at Old Trafford as Diogo Dalot collects the ball from Rasmus Hojlund before lashing into the roof of the net to make it 4-1! Real Sociedad look crestfallen.
21:47 GMT – GOAL! Bruno Fernandes has his hat-trick and Man Utd are surely through to the quarter-finals now!
Alejandro Garnacho comes charging forward and lays the ball off to the United captain who fires into the bottom corner. Brilliant goal. It's 3-1 to United, 4-2 on aggregate.
21:33 GMT - GOAL! Relief for Tottenham as Wilson Odobert grabs his second goal of the night following a wonderful team move that flows from one end of the pitch to the other. Spurs lead 3-1 and, crucially, 3-2 on aggregate.

21:24 GMT - RED CARD! The night goes from bad to worse for Real Sociedad as substitute Jon Aramburu is sent off! Aramburu has been on the pitch for only seven minutes but brings down Patrick Dorgu who was the last man - albeit a fair distance from goal.
Sociedad are down to 10!
21:22 GMT - GOAL! AZ Alkmaar pull a goal back against Tottenham and the tie is level! Lucas Bergvall and Wilson Odobert make a hash of clearing the ball as Peer Koopmeiners spanks a shot low and hard into the back of the net.

21:07 GMT - GOAL! Tottenham have doubled their lead and are ahead on aggregate for the first time! Heung-Min Son squares the ball to James Maddison who thumps home to make it 2-0 (2-1 on agg).
AZ have now conceded five goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half, no team has conceded more in the Europa League this season.
21:04 GMT - We're back underway. A huge 45 minutes coming up.

Rangers 0-1 Fenerbahce HT (3-2 on agg)

20:46 GMT - GOAL! Just before the break, Fenerbahce have put the cat among the pigeons. Sebastian Szymanski fires a shot into the net and Rangers’ two-goal cushion from the first leg is halved. It's 0-1 at Ibrox, 3-2 on aggregate.
20:44 GMT - We’re in to first-half stoppage time in Manchester, Glasgow and London.
20:28 GMT - GOAL! Wilson Odobert opens the scoring for Tottenham against AZ Alkmaar following a brilliant passage of play from Son Heung-min. Spurs lead 1-0 and it's 1-1 on aggregate.
Odobert is the 12th different player to score for Spurs in the Europa League this season with only Roma (13) – who were eliminated earlier – having more scorers in the competition.
It’s still goalless at Rangers and Chelsea.
20:15 GMT - GOAL! Man Utd have hit back immediately! Igor Zubeldia fouls Rasmus Hojlund inside the box. Up steps Bruno Fernandes to level the match at 1-1. Where would United be without him.
It's 2-2 on aggregate. Game. On.
20:10 GMT – GOAL! Disaster for Man Utd. Real Sociedad have a penalty inside the opening 10 minutes following a VAR review and Mikel Oyarzabal sends Andre Onana the wrong way to put them 1-0 up. They lead 2-1 on aggregate.
20:00 GMT - After a slight delay in north London, we’re underway across Europe. What a huge night this is for Man Utd and Spurs in particular, surely the most important game of the season so far for both clubs.
19:48 GMT - If Tottenham get past AZ Alkmaar in the last-16 tonight they will face Eintracht Frankfurt in the quarter-finals after the Germans thrashed Eredivisie leaders Ajax 4-1 and 6-2 on aggregate.

Eintracht Frankfurt are 2-0 up against Ajax (4-1 on agg) with the winner set to face either Tottenham or AZ Alkmaar in the quarter-finals, while Roma are down to 10-men and 1-0 behind against Athletic Bilbao (2-2 on agg). The winner of that tie could face Rangers in the last eight.

18:08 GMT - Wayne Rooney thinks former side Manchester United look "lost" and "scared" on the pitch and that "10 to 15 players need to leave the club".
"They look lost. I think they look scared and just scared to make a mistake," he said.
"I think 10 to 15 players need to leave the club."
"Obviously they can't do that, but I think there is a mentality there where it's not going right. This player will pass it on to him, he'll pass it on to him and no one is taking responsibility."
17:05 GMT - UEFA on Thursday said it would consider a potential rule change after Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez's penalty was controversially disallowed in their Champions League shootout loss to Real Madrid.
"UEFA will enter discussions with FIFA and IFAB to determine whether the rule should be reviewed in cases where a double touch is clearly unintentional," they said.

22:59 GMT - After all that drama, here's some key info about the quarter-finals featuring Arsenal and Aston Villa, who rather spared all the journalists covering their games with predictable finishes...
22:50 GMT - Real Madrid will play Arsenal in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Click here for our report from the Spanish capital.
22:49 GMT - That is an incredible end to the game. The keeper got a hand to Rudiger's penalty, but the ball somehow found a way in.
22:45 GMT - GOAL! Antonio Rudiger has won it for Real Madrid!
22:44 GMT - MISS! Marcos Llorente has hit the bar and the ball bounces away. That means Rudiger could win it for Madrid.
22:43 GMT - SAVE! Lucas Vazquez has had his penalty saved.
22:42 GMT - GOAL! Angel Correa slots it to make it 3-2.
22:41 GMT - GOAL! Federico Valverde makes it 3-1, and it seems like the Atletico fans don't know that one of theirs was ruled out...
22:41 GMT - DRAMA! VAR has been in touch with the referee to tell him that Alvarez clipped the ball with his planting foot, so it's actually 2-1!
22:39 GMT - GOAL! Julian Alvarez nearly shot over the bar but he's scored to bring the shootout level at 2-2.
22:39 GMT - GOAL! Another superb penalty, this time from Bellingham to make it 2-1.
22:39 GMT - Here comes Jude Bellingham...
22:38 GMT - GOAL! Alexander Sorloth makes it 1-1 after two penalties with a thunderous shot that nearly splits the net.
22:37 GMT - GOAL! Perfect start as Mbappe just slots it into the bottom right corner.
22:37 GMT - Real Madrid will take the first penalty, and no surprise that it's Kylian Mbappe who steps up.
22:33 GMT - END OF EXTRA-TIME: That's it, these two sides cannot be separated, so penalties it shall have to be.
22:28 GMT - Vinicius Jr missed a penalty during the 90 minutes and now won't have a chance to put things right, as Carlo Ancelotti has just replaced him with Endrick in the second half of extra-time. Not many would have seen that coming.
22:23 GMT - We are now 10 minutes away from penalties to decide who plays Arsenal in the quarter-finals.
22:20 GMT - Neither side look like they want penalties - it's end to end and Kylian Mbappe has just delighted the crowd with a big slide tackle.
22:16 GMT - The free kick comes to nothing and there's the whistle from the referee. We are 15 minutes away from penalties if we don't get a goal in this final period of the game.
22:14 GMT - Real Madrid have a free kick on the edge of the box...
22:10 GMT - We are approaching half-time in extra-time here. Not many would have predicted this after we had a goal within the first 30 seconds of the game kicking off.
22:01 GMT - Aston Villa have become the first side to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League in their debut season since Atalanta in 2019-20. Six English teams have achieved that feat: Chelsea in 1999-00, Leeds in 2000-01 (semi-final), Liverpool in 2001-02, Spurs in 2010-11 and Leicester in 2016-17, and now Unai Emery's side.
Look at what it means.
21:53 GMT - END OF THE 90 MINUTES: We are going into extra time in the Madrid derby. Conor Gallagher scored after 27 seconds, and there hasn't been a goal since. The game ends 1-0, which leaves the tie at 2-2.
A reminder that Vinicius Jr had a penalty to put his side ahead on aggregate, but couldn't even get his shot on goal.

21:52 GMT - FULL-TIME: There's the full-time whistle at the Emirates, where PSV have bounced back to record a 2-2 draw with Arsenal. Mikel Arteta's side won't be delighted with the result but also won't lose too much sleep, as they are safely through to the quarter-finals courtesy of a 9-3 aggregate. They will face the winners of the Madrid derby, which is about to go to extra-time. Click here for our report.

21:51 GMT - FULL-TIME: It's all over at Villa Park, where Aston Villa have progressed to the last eight of the Champions League with a 6-1 aggregate win over Club Brugge. Villa will play PSG in the next round of the competition, after the French giants knocked Liverpool out on penalties. Read all about it here.

21:50 GMT - YELLOW CARD! Raheem Sterlins has been impressive for Arsenal today, setting both of their goals up, but he will miss the first leg of the quarter-finals after receiving a yellow card.
21:28 GMT - PENALTY MISS! Vinicius Jr has just had a chance to give his side a 2-1 aggregate lead but missed from the penalty spot - smashing it over the bar by a fair distance.
21:27 GMT - GOAL! Arsenal are in no danger of missing out on the quarter-finals, but Mikel Arteta is unlikely to be impressed with the fact his side have struggled to put PSV away tonight. Couhaib Driouech has just scored to make it 2-2 on the night - albeit 9-3 on aggregate - with an outrageous lob.
21:21 GMT - GOAL! The floodgates are open; Marco Asensio has his second goal and Aston Villa are now 6-1 ahead on aggregate. Asensio is the first player to score two or more goals as a substitute for an English club in the Champions League since Mo Salah's hat-trick against Rangers in October 2022.
21:16 GMT - GOAL! Aston Villa are two up, and that should be that. Ian Maatsen is the man to double their lead on the night - his first goal since 16th April 2024 against Atlético Madrid when he was at Dortmund.
21:09 GMT - GOAL! Aston Villa have finally broken down Club Brugge thanks to super-sub Marco Asensio, who has put his side 1-0 up. They are now 4-1 aheadin the tie.
Club Brugge, meanwhile, have conceded six goals to opposition substitutes in the Champions League this season. No team has conceded more.
21:04 GMT - We are back underway in our three Champions League ties.
20:49 GMT - HALF-TIME: We've reached the break at Villa Park, where Aston Villa are struggling to break down 10-man Club Brugge. It's goalless this evening, which means Villa are still 3-1 ahead in the tie.

20:46 GMT - HALF-TIME: There's the half-time whistle in the Madrid derby, where Conor Gallagher has put his side 1-0 up on the night to level the tie at 2-2. Big second half coming up in the Spanish capital!

20:46 GMT - HALF-TIME: The referee blows for half-time at the Emirates, where Arsenal lead 2-1 on the night to hold a 9-2 aggregate advantage.

20:38 GMT - GOAL! Declan Rice has put Arsenal 2-1 ahead on the night at the Emirates, and that's now 9-2 on aggregate. Raheem Sterling has provided the assist for both goals this evening.
Sterling has been involved in a Champions League goal for four different clubs (Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal), becoming the first ever English player to have had a hand in a goal for four or more clubs in the competition.
20:20 GMT - GOAL! Cue all the jokes about the comeback being on - PSV are level with Arsenal on the night (1-1) thanks to Ivan Perisic's neat finish.
PSV have scored 12 first-half goals in 12 games. Only Barcelona (14) and Arsenal (14) have scored more in the Champions League this season.
20:19 GMT - RED CARD! Club Brugge's Kyriani Sabbe has been given his marching orders after pulling down Marcus Rashford in front of the box.
20:07 GMT - GOAL! PSV fans look away, Oleksandr Zinchenko has just put Arsenal 1-0 up on the night and 8-1 ahead on aggregate. Despite scoring from long range, Zinchenko chooses not to celebrate as he played for PSV on loan from Manchester City in the 2016-17 season.
20:05 GMT - That goal from Conor Gallagher is the earliest ever by an English player in a Champions League game (27 seconds), and it is also the earliest Atlético de Madrid have ever scored in the competition. Not a bad opponent to do it against, as well.
20:02 GMT - GOAL! Hopefully nobody was caught out buying a pre-match drink in Madrid because Atletico Madrid have just gone 1-0 up in the first few seconds thanks to Conor Gallagher. It's now 2-2 on aggregate - game on!
20:01 GMT - We have kicked off in our three matches tonight. A reminder that Real Madrid are taking on Atletico Madrid to determine who will face the winner between Arsenal and PSV in the quarter-finals.
19:55 GMT - We are now just minutes away from kicking off - can Arsenal and Aston Villa take advantage of their big leads and progress to the quarter-finals?
19:49 GMT - Aston Villa, meanwhile, are looking to become the first side to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League in their debut season since Atalanta in 2019-20. Five English teams have achieved that feat: Chelsea in 1999-00, Leeds in 2000-01 (semi-final), Liverpool in 2001-02, Spurs in 2010-11 and Leicester in 2016-17.
19:43 GMT - Declan Rice all smiles thanks to Arsenal's six-goal cushion.
19:38 GMT - Borussia Dortmund have held out to beat Lille 2-1, which puts them through to the next round courtesy of a 3-2 aggregate. The Bundesliga club will face Barcelona in the quarter-finals.
19:23 GMT - Some news that came out of the Netherlands earlier today is that the PSV fans who have travelled to London to watch their team take on Arsenal have had their match tickets refunded by way of an apology from the club after they were hammered 7-1 in the first leg in Eindhoven.
"After the poor result at home last week, your support and presence are extra appreciated," the club said in an email to fans, as reported by ESPN.
19:11 GMT - Two goals in a little over 11 minutes has Dortmund currently 2-1 up on the night against Lille, and 3-2 ahead on aggregate. The German side will be hoping they can hold on to keep their otherwise underwhelming season going.
18:55 GMT - The team news is in for both Arsenal and Aston Villa's matches tonight! Check out who starts for whom below:

Here's the team news for the match in Madrid too:

18:35 GMT - A little update from France now as Lille are 1-0 up against German giants Borussia Dortmund. As it stands, the 1997 Champions League winners are headed out (2-1 on agg.). A big 45' coming up.
17:00 GMT - First up tonight; Borussia Dortmund travel to Lille with the sides level at 1-1 after the first leg in Germany.
Click here to follow that one live - kick-off is in 45 minutes.

16:45 GMT - Hello and welcome back to our Football Tracker!
Tonight from 8pm, we've got Arsenal and Aston Villa in Champions League action as the Gunners play the role of hosts to PSV - who they beat 7-1 in the Netherlands.
Villa will also be hosting this evening, as they entertain Belgian side Club Brugge - who they beat 3-1 in the reverse leg.
Alongside those two matches, Real Madrid make the very short trip to Atletico Madrid - where they'll hope to finish the job on their city rivals after taking a 2-1 lead from the first leg.
Tuesday, March 11th
23:11 GMT - And that's all from us tonight, thanks for joining us!
We'll be back tomorrow for the final matches in the last-16 of the Champions League including Arsenal v PSV, Aston Villa v Club Brugge and Atletico Madrid v Real Madrid.
Lille v Dortmund gets us underway at 17:45 GMT - see you then!
23:05 GMT - What a tie that was - and here are five of the most eye-catching stats to bring you, courtesy of Otpa.
1 - Liverpool lost a penalty shootout in the European Cup/Champions League for the first time (W3 before tonight), while PSG became the second French side to win a shootout in the competition after Bordeaux v FC Dnipro in the 1984-95 quarter-finals.
2 - Ousmane Dembele’s 12th minute strike was the earliest goal Liverpool have conceded at Anfield in the Champions League since September 2017 v Sevilla (Wissam Ben Yedder in 5th minute).
3 - Liverpool were eliminated from a major European knockout tie for the first time ever after winning the first leg away from home, progressing from 30 straight ties before tonight.
4 - Liverpool’s Alisson made 16 saves in this tie with PSG (excluding the penalty shootout), the most by a goalkeeper in a Champions League knockout tie since Manuel Neuer for Bayern Munich v Real Madrid in the 2016-17 quarter-finals (16).
5 - PSG's xG of 2.56 is the most any visiting side has recorded in a game at Anfield this season in all competitions. Overall, the Reds conceded 4.35 xGA in this round of 16 tie with the Parisians, comfortably the most they have conceded to an opponent in 2024-25 (ahead of 2.7 v Bournemouth).
23:00 GMT - So it's PSG who go through to the next round of the Champions League and they'll face either Aston Villa or Club Brugge in the quarter-final.
Aston Villa lead 3-1 from the first leg with the return match tomorrow evening at Villa Park.
22:43 GMT - Liverpool are out of the Champions League after a 4-1 defeat on penalties to PSG.
Despite leading 1-0 from the first-leg, the Reds lost 1-0 at Anfield before Gianluigi Donnarumma saved from Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones in a penalty shoot-out to send Liverpool crashing out of Europe.
It's heartbreak for Liverpool, but the away fans at Anfield are jumping up and down celebrating.

You can read the match report here, and see the stats of Donnarumma, the man of the match, below.

22:38 GMT - Penalty shoot-out:

Liverpool 1-2 PSG - Goncalo Ramos scores!
Liverpool 1-1 PSG - Mo Salah scores!
Liverpool 0-1 PSG - Vitinha scores!
22:36 GMT - PSG will take penalty shoot-out towards their own fans.
22:33 GMT - Istvan Kovacs blows his whistle. It’s all over! PSG have beaten Liverpool 1-0 but the tie ends all-square at 1-1.
We go to penalties.

22:32 GMT - One final change for PSG as Goncalo Ramos comes on for Joao Neves, who picked up an injury.
22:25 GMT - Desire Doue has a shot for PSG that goes wide of the post. At the other end Mo Salah goes down in the box but the referee waves play on.
22:22 GMT - Ibrahima Konate is struggling and comes off, replaced by Wataru Endo.
22:21 GMT - Huge save from Alisson! Ousmane Dembele creates a little space in the box and fires low - but the goalkeeper gets down well to make a brilliant save.
22:17 GMT - Arne Slot decides to leave Mo Salah on the pitch and replaces Dominik Szoboszlai for Harvey Elliott - the hero at the Parc des Princes. Off we go for the final time.
22:15 GMT - It's half-time in extra-time. Liverpool and PSG have 15 minutes to find a winner or else this last-16 tie will go to penalties...
22:12 GMT - Possibly with penalties in mind, Liverpool bring on Cody Gakpo for Luis Diaz and PSG replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for Kang-In Lee.
22:02 GMT - This is very nervy. Desire Doue scuffs his shot wide for PSG.
21:58 GMT - Liverpool make a change as Alexis Mac Allister, who was booked at the end of the 90 minutes, is replaced by Curtis Jones. Warren Zaire-Emery replaces Fabian Ruiz for PSG. We're back underway.
21:54 GMT - And the whistle blows at Anfield. It goes to extra-time with PSG 1-0 up on the night, 1-1 on aggregate.

21:52 GMT - It’s all over in Germany. Bayern have beaten their Bundesliga rivals Leverkusen 2-0 on the night, 5-0 on aggregate.
A few moments later the whistle blows at the San Siro and Inter have beaten Feyenoord 2-1 (4-1 on agg).
Bayern will face Inter in the quarter-finals.
Leverkusen 0-2 Bayern (0-5)

Inter 2-1 Feyenoord (4-1)

21:49 GMT - We go into five minutes of stoppage-time. Alexis Mac Allister has been booked and he'll miss the first leg of the quarter-final, should Liverpool get there.
21:43 GMT - There are five minutes of normal time remaining. Can Liverpool find an equaliser? PSG a killer goal? Or will we be going into extra time?
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia takes a shot that goes fizzing over the bar.
21:28 GMT - GOAL! Alphonso Davies doubles Bayern's lead against Leverkusen and it's now 5-0 on aggregate. Bayern look set to face Inter, who still lead Feyenoord 2-1 (4-1 on aggregate), in the quarter-finals.
21:27 GMT - The clock ticks over to 70 minutes...
21:16 GMT - What a save from Gianluigi Donnarumma! Luis Diaz powers a header towards goal but Italy's captain is equal to it.
21:11 GMT - NO GOAL! Dominik Szoboszlai has the ball in the net for Liverpool but the goal is ruled out for offside.
21:09 GMT - GOAL! Bayern have broken the deadlock in Germany against Leverkusen to lead 1-0 on the night (4-0 on agg) through Harry Kane, while Hakan Calhanoglu has given Inter a 2-1 lead over Feyenoord (4-1 on agg).
Kane has now scored 10 goals in the Champions League this season and becomes the first English player to reach that milestone in a single campaign.
21:03 GMT - We're back underway. What a huge 45 minutes we have in store.
20:47 GMT - HALF-TIME! Liverpool are behind at the break but it's level on aggregate.
Liverpool 0-1 PSG (1-1 on agg)

Inter 1-1 Feyenoord (3-1)

Leverkusen 0-0 Bayern (0-3)

20:46 GMT - We have one minute of injury time to be played at Anfield.
20:42 GMT - GOAL! Feyenoord have equalised from the penalty spot against Inter through Jakub Moder. It's 1-1 on the night, but they trail 3-1 on aggregate.
20:37 GMT - All the chances are falling to PSG. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is the latest to have a pop at goal as their xG rises to 1.91. But will they be punished - as they were in the first leg - for missing so many chances?
20:33 GMT - It's almost 2-0 to PSG. Ousmane Dembele finds himself one-on-one with Alisson after a mazy run but the keeper does well to block his shot. A huge let-off for the Reds.
20:31 GMT - We've played 30 minutes around Europe. PSG still lead Liverpool and Inter remain ahead at Feyenoord. It's still goalless in the all-German Leverkusen v Bayern clash.
20:03 GMT - GOAL! What a start this is for PSG! The French side have their first chance going forward and after a melee in the box, the ball falls to Ousmane Dembele who taps home. They're 1-0 up on the night and it's 1-1 on aggregate.
Game. On.
20:08 GMT - GOAL! Inter have opened the scoring against Feyenoord. Marcus Thuram thumps his shot into the back of the net to give the Italians a 3-0 lead on aggregate.
20:00 GMT - Referee Istvan Kovacs blows his whistle and we're underway!
19:51 GMT - History beckons for Arne Slot tonight. Liverpool have won all four of their home Champions League games this season. Should they claim another victory tonight, Slot would become the first manager to win each of his first five home matches in charge of an English side in the competition's history.
19:43 GMT - Attention turns to Anfield and the stats don't read well for PSG.
Of the last 15 French teams to play away from home against an English opponent in Europe, none have managed to win, with 14 of those ending in defeats.
However the last victory was PSG against Man Utd in December 2020, and it was only the heroics of Alisson who stopped them in the first leg...
19:39 GMT - And there we have it. After a flurry of goals in the first half and nothing since, Barcelona have become the first team to reach the quarter-finals of this new and expanded tournament™ with a 3-1 win over Benfica, 4-1 on aggregate. You can read the match report here.
They will face either Dortmund or Lille in the last eight, which is intriguingly poised at 1-1. That match gets underway tomorrow.
