Coventry were halted in their tracks by a stubborn Swansea side on Friday night, while Hull played themselves into play-off contention with a hard-fought win over Blackburn.

Elsewhere, there were more woes for Wayne Rooney's Birmingham and vital wins for Millwall and Sheffield Wednesday,
