Villa are aiming to clinch their first European trophy in 46 years as they take on German side Freiburg in Istanbul on Wednesday night.
After reaching the Conference League semis in 2024 and the Champions League quarter-finals last season, Emery’s side are hoping to make history this week in what would be one of the biggest moments in the club’s history.
Can Villa go all the way?
Four-time Europa League winner Emery first spoke on whether his side can go all the way as he explained how important it is to build on the past.
"Good afternoon, the most important experiences we can have individually is of course fantastic but we are speaking here about our experiences with Aston Villa. Three years ago the semi-final in the Conference League, last year we played the quarter-final in the Champions League and this year the final (of the Europa League) and we have played enough matches in Europe.
"Those experiences are very important for us, how we were playing during the process this year, how we played last year, the first leg, second leg, different rounds and how now it is a new chapter forward to play the final.
"But, we must try to do everything we are building here, learning, to set tomorrow, the field. Of course tomorrow is something tactically and individually with our skills. This is a new challenge we have together. We are confident. The players are here because they deserve it."
Can Martinez be compared to Cech?
Emery next spoke on goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez and his comparisons with Peter Cech, the legendary Chelsea goalkeeper who won the Europa League with the Blues in the 2012/13 campaign.
"One year with Petr Cech, fantastic guy, as a person and as a professional. I can't tell you nothing, at the level, he has achieved it all. Good player at finals, but of course we lost that final, I don't want to remember.
"Now with Emiliano, we are working together here at Aston Villa, we worked (together) at Arsenal and I know his personality, I know his capacity and ambitions and this is important for me. The capacity with ambition."
Villa can use their experience to their advantage
Emery also opened up on whether he speaks to the players collectively or individually in what is a crucial time for motivation and confidence building just one day before the final kicks off.
"Both. This is a process. The process is how we are building the team and building our structure, collectively and individually, structure is tactical, structure is individually, how we might respond in the moment we are (in).
"Now is a new experience that we will have tomorrow and it is important in our structure how we are managing our emotions, we have played a lot of matches and had a lot of emotions.
"The pressure is here as well, but we must try to understand the pressure as something positive not negative and the pressure is when you are playing for something important.
"We have experience here, Emi, John (John McGinn), we have a lot of experiences. Our experiences here is the most important. We are here together. We are doing it this way. Understanding how difficult it was to get here.
"We have to play with personality, with confidence and to do that we have to play with intensity."
