French superstar Kylian Mbappe, who scored a hat-trick in last season’s El Clasico in Barcelona despite Real Madrid’s defeat, will not be available for Sunday's clash at Camp Nou.

Mbappe still hasn’t fully recovered from his injury to the muscle in his left leg, and the club has decided not to take any risks with the striker, especially considering that Real Madrid no longer have a realistic chance of fighting for the title.

His absence comes after controversy over his trips to Italy and France during his days off while he was recovering from injury.

It’s a significant blow for Madrid, as Mbappe scores against Barça every 67 minutes, on average.

However, he didn’t finish Saturday’s training session with his teammates at Valdebebas and failed Sunday’s fitness test.
