Real Betis and Real Madrid kick off the next round of LaLiga fixtures in this Friday night game, where Betis need the points to consolidate their Europa League spot, and Madrid need them to keep the pressure up on Barcelona.

Both teams won in their most recent fixtures and enter this match with some momentum. Betis saw off Girona away, 3-2, thanks to an 80th-minute Rodrigo Riquelme goal to send the travelling faithful home happy.

Madrid, on the other hand, won for the first time in five games across all competitions against Alaves, 2-1, thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior, which helped lift the mood at the Bernabeu after a less-than-satisfactory run.

Now the two meet in a game that both can feel they can win.

Ex-Manchester United winger Antony will be welcomed back into the team after sitting out the last game because of suspension. With Antony back, Pablo Fornals is expected to drop back into the midfield, with Giovanni Lo Celso returning to the bench.

Junior FirpoDiego Llorente and Angel Ortiz all missed the Girona clash too, and are not expected to feature here either.

One player back in the fold for Betis is Isco, who made his long-awaited return to the field in the 76th minute of the Girona game. He was involved in the winning goal, which would have made fans and his team overjoyed after five months out for the still influential midfielder.
