Villa Park provides the backdrop as Manchester City visit Aston Villa for Saturday's early afternoon Premier League kick-off.
Both teams were in European action in midweek, with Man City thrashing AEK Athens 5-1 in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, and Aston Villa beating Viking 3-1 here in the same competition 24 hours later.
Each legal and licensed bookmaker featured on this page prices the away win as their favourite. Will the Cityzens maintain their 100 per cent start to the season?

Double chance - Aston Villa
I open with a bet on the underdog to win at home, denting their opponent's perfect record.
This match holds no fear for the locals, with Aston Villa winning four of their previous six Premier League meetings with Man City. That run includes a memorable 1-0 at this venue last year, thanks to a 19-minute goal from Matty Cash.
It's worth remembering that Villa did the double over Man City in the 2025/26 season, following that 1-0 home win with an incredible 2-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium earlier this year. Ollie Watkins bagged a double after Antoine Semenyo had opened the scoring.
Manager Emery hopes to make history by leading his team to three straight wins over City for the first time since 1966.
Playing top-of-the-table teams won't faze John McGinn and co either. The stats show Villa have won their last three matches when hosting opponents starting in pole position. That run consists of a 1-0 win over Arsenal in 2023, a 2-1 win in 2025, and a draw with Liverpool later that year.
Betting on Aston Villa or draw in the double chance market would've made you a profit in each of Man City's last four visits to Villa Park, dating back to December 2021.
Take Villa on the double chance market, and you'll score a profit if the home team avoids defeat on their patch.
Tip: Aston Villa or draw @ 11/10 (bet365)
Bet explanation: You have a two-in-three chance of landing this bet, with a home win paying the same as a draw.
Match goals - 2-4
Moving to my second Aston Villa vs Man City bet worth considering, and we head into the total goals market.
I've picked Villa v City to produce between two and four goals from both teams combined. Followers aren't worried about the winner or who scores, with a 2-0 home win as good as a 3-1 away win.
As long as the game produces more than one goal, but fewer than five, you can celebrate.
Returning to the H2H briefly, backing 2-4 in the match goals market has a 60 per cent success rate over the previous five seasons. The same success rate applies to the last 10 meetings at Villa Park.
In Aston Villa's previous Premier League home matches this season, they shared four goals with Brentford, lost 2-1 to Nottingham Forest, and lost 1-0 to Arsenal on the final day of August.
Moving to Man City's road trips, Enzo Maresca's team beat Liverpool 3-0, Man Utd 1-0, and Crystal Palace 4-1 in London.
Both sides will be tired after their midweek adventures, and I'm confident that'll lead to goals and an entertaining 90 minutes.
Tip: 2-4 match goals @ 8/15 (bet365)
Bet explanation: This market lets you focus on goals scored rather than the match winner. You're looking for between two and four goals scored by both Aston Villa and Man City combined.
Score or assist - Manzambi
My third and final Aston Villa vs Man City prediction is in the score or assist market and has the biggest odds of the three bets.
Take a look at 21-year-old Swiss midfielder Johan Manzambi.
The former SC Freiburg player and Switzerland cap has been involved in at least one goal in each of his three Premier League starts. That eye-catching run includes two goals and two assists.
Johan also found the net in his team's jaw-dropping 6-0 home win over Fenerbahce in the Champions League earlier this month.
Manzambi scored first in a 3-2 win at Tottenham, and got the goal that earned his side all three points in a 1-0 win at St James' Park last Saturday.
In terms of assists, our pick set up his captain McGinn to score in a 2-2 home draw with Brentford and ensured Nicolas Jackson got on the scoresheet in London.
You can aim for an even higher price by backing Manzambi to open the scoring when Man City come to town. That would be a fantastic way to grab the headlines, and followers would enjoy the 9/1 odds. His form means I wouldn't put anyone off a play on Manzambi to net the game's first goal off a small stake.
I prefer to keep it simple, backing Manzambi to score at any time or assist a teammate to score. Our pick played 72 minutes in that hard-fought win over Newcastle last Saturday, so we'll get our money's worth.
Tip: Manzambi score or assist @ 11/8 (bet365)
Bet explanation: You need Manzambi to score for Aston Villa or provide an assist in a goal against Man City at Villa Park. The timing of the goal and the final result aren't important with this bet.
Aston Villa vs Man City: Betting odds
Aston Villa win @ 7/2 (bet365)
