Chelsea enjoy home advantage over Nottingham Forest on Bank Holiday Monday afternoon. The Blues are in desperate need of a win and three vital points following a woeful run of form.

The Tricky Trees are much closer to the relegation zone than the prize places this season, but they enter on the back of impressive form.

Vitor Pereira's team hosted Aston Villa in the Europa League semi-finals on Thursday evening at the City Ground.

How much did that epic battle take out of them? We'll get an answer to that question following kick-off in London.

Will Chelsea use home advantage to end a horrible five-match losing streak, or do you expect Nottingham Forest to claim a third win on the bounce?

The leading bookmakers featured at Flashscore offer over 100 pre-match betting markets, including match winner and both teams to score.

Keep reading as betting analyst Frank Monkhouse uncovers the value.

Chelsea v Nottingham Forest tips

Both teams to score - Yes

The first Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest bet worth your attention is both teams to score. You'll find this one available on the bet365 app.

When taking this approach, the final score and match winner aren't important. If both the Blues and the Tricky Trees find the net at least once each during the clash, you'll beat the bookies and boost your betting balance.

Why do I expect both teams to score? The clues can be found in the stats. Backing BTTS landed gamblers a profit when Chelsea last hosted Nottingham Forest at the Bridge.

That match ended 1-1 in October 2024, thanks to goals from Wood and Madueke. Digging a little deeper, both clubs found the net in two of the previous three meetings at the London venue.

With the head-to-head stats available on the Flashscore app supporting our approach, I'll now look at how both clubs have been performing this year.

The visitors arrive with confidence, thanks to ten goals scored in their last three league starts. Chelsea are on that losing run, but they did beat Leeds United 1-0 in the semi-finals of the FA Cup last time out.

Tip: Both teams to score @ 4/6 (bet365)

Bet explanation: If both Chelsea and Nottingham Forest score at least one goal each, your bet wins.

Win either half - Nottingham Forest

Moving away from goals scored, my second bet comes from the specials, backing Nottingham Forest to win either half. It may not be one of the most common betting markets, but it gives followers two shots at landing a profit.

If Forest out-score Chelsea in the opening 45 minutes, you'll profit. If they don't, the scores return to 0-0 for the second period.

Suppose Forest are 1-0 up at half-time, but Chelsea go on to win the match 2-1. In that case, you'll make a profit as the Tricky Trees won the first half 1-0 and lost the second half 2-0.

If Chelsea lead 3-0 at the break and go on to claim the points with a 4-2 victory, your bet wins as the visitors beat Chelsea 2-1 in the second half. It's an interesting bet to follow.

Chelsea played three league games in April. In those matches, they lost the second half 3-0 to Man City, while Man Utd were 1-0 up at the break. In the Blues' last Premier League outing, they lost 3-0 at Brighton.

The Seagulls won the first half 1-0 and the second half 2-0. Winnings would've been in your account by the time the teams came out for the second period.

Tip: Nottingham Forest to win either half @ 6/4 (bet365)

Bet explanation: You need Nottingham Forest to out-score Chelsea in either the first or the second half.

Double chance - Nottingham Forest or draw

I'll stick with the Europa League semi-finalists for my third and final bet from the UK capital on Bank Holiday Monday. To wrap things up, I'm suggesting a wager on Nottingham Forest or draw in the double chance market.

Gamblers now have a two-in-three chance of making a profit. If Forest beat Chelsea, you beat the bookies. If the match ends level, you can also celebrate.

Since 1999, Nottingham Forest have visited Stamford Bridge only three times on Premier League business.

What's fascinating about that is the team from the East Midlands are unbeaten in those matches, winning one and drawing two. The rivals shared four goals here in May 2023. Forest then beat Chelsea 1-0 later that year, thanks to a goal from Elanga.

In the most recent face-off, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest couldn't be separated, ending 1-1 in October 2024. The visitors took the lead that day thanks to a goal early in the second half.

Chelsea battled back, equalising on 57 minutes, before Ward-Prowse was sent off near the end. Despite finishing with 10 men, Forest clung on for a draw and a share of the points.

Tip: Nottingham Forest win or draw @ 23/20 (bet365)

Bet explanation: If Nottingham Forest can avoid defeat on Monday, your bet wins.
