Filipe Luis is reportedly in contention to replace Liam Rosenior at Chelsea after been brutally sacked by Brazilian giants Flamengo.

The 40-year-old had a remarkable year-and-a-half at Flamengo, winning the league and the Copa Libertadores during his spell.

Filipe Luis was then shockingly sacked following their 8-0 win over Madureira RJ after reports came out saying he had been interviewed by BlueCo.

It’s understood that the Brazilian initially thought he was in talks to replace Enzo Maresca, only to later find out it was for the Strasbourg job. He then pulled out of the talks.

According to The Mirror, Filipe Luis, who spent a season at Chelsea as a player, is now in contention to take over.

Chelsea are looking at several options at the moment; however, with Cesc Fabregas, Andoni Iraola, and Marco Silva, among others, all linked.
