The England international played a major role in the Citizens’ latest result, providing two assists as Pep Guardiola’s side strengthened their push for the league crown.
Despite the pressure at the top of the table, Foden believes City’s experience in previous title battles can prove decisive in the closing stages of the campaign.
"That's the aim, just keep pushing, keeping them on their toes. We've seen a lot of things can happen on the final day. I've experienced it many times when the game doesn't go your way. We just have to keep pushing and do our part," he told the Premier League website.
"Massively important at this stage of the season. Some fresh lads coming in, Josko (Gvardiol) first game in a long time, we were all excited and ready. Massive game, must-win and I'm really happy."
Foden provided two assists in the first half against the Eagles, making it the first time in his career that he has provided multiple assists in the first half of a Premier League match.
"(First assist) I checked a few times before receiving the ball and I say Antoine (Semenyo) make a good movement. It's one of them, sometimes it doesn't come off but it's a risk worth trying and delighted that it came off and we scored from it. Obviously buzzing to contribute to a goal and help the lads get the three points.
"(Assist for second) I thought the defender was coming a lot closer and I tried to help it on to Omar. I thought the centre-back was coming across and helped it on, bit scruffy.
"I had a good first half of the season, dropped off a bit. I struggled to find a way back into the team; that happens with quality players around you, if they're more at it than you they're going to play.
"I've had to wait and be patient, train as hard as I can and when you get your moment you have to make the most of it. It's a team goal and if you want to win titles, everyone has to play their part."
