10:43 BST - Good morning and welcome back to our Football Tracker! Just the one Premier League game tonight as Manchester City travel to Brighton, looking to take advantage of Liverpool's shock Merseyside derby defeat last night.

Wednesday, April 24th

23:02 BST - Good night! Be sure to join us tomorrow for the big match between Brighton and Manchester City. A win for City would see them leapfrog Liverpool into second place, but tonight is proof that there are no easy games for those chasing a title.

22:30 BST - There were some strong words from Virgil van Dijk in his post-match interview with Sky Sports following Liverpool's loss.

"I think everyone has to look in the mirror, look at their own performance and if they really gave everything," he said. "Do they really want to win the league?

"We are fighting, there are games after tonight, but play like we did overall in the game like today... not winning challenges and giving the ref an opportunity to give a free-kick like he did many times, then you have no chance to win a title."

22:26 BST - What a night we had. Sheffield United were twice ahead at Old Trafford and there was a seismic shock in the title race at Goodison Park. Here's how the Premier League table looks after all of tonight's results.

21:59 BST FULL-TIME: Liverpool's dream of another title has been well and truly damaged by a 2-0 loss to their Merseyside rivals, who will revel in the fact that it is they who have likely ended their neighbours' title ambitions.

21:58 BST FULL-TIME: There's the final whistle at Old Trafford and Manchester United have come from behind to beat Sheffield United, who are now on the brink of relegation.

21:46 BST - GOAL! Mateta scores a second to put Palace 2-0 up against Newcastle and that will likely be that.

21:45 BST - FULL-TIME: There's the referee's whistle and Bournemouth have all three points courtesy of their 1-0 win over Wolves at Molineux. Victory lifts the Cherries into the top 10 of the Premier League, though Brighton are just a point behind them and have two games in hand. Click here to catch up on how it all unfolded.

21:44 BST - GOAL! Hojlund has put the full stop on the result. Impressive from Man Utd who were under a lot of pressure at 2-1 down. They are now 4-2 up against Sheff Utd.

21:39 BST - GOAL! Fernandes has another and Man Utd have completed the turnaround! They lead Sheffield United 3-2 at Old Trafford.

21:21 BST - GOAL! Fernandes brings Man Utd level from the penalty spot but they still have a lot to do if they want to win this. They are really being made to work by teams in the Championship and teams almost in the Championship at the moment.

21:20 BST - GOAL! Everton are 2-0 up! Calvert-Lewin gets on the end of a corner to head the ball into the net. Goodison Park, as you'd imagine, erupts into song as Klopp sports a wry smile.

21:13 BST - GOAL! Mateta puts Crystal Palace 1-0 ahead against Newcastle at Selhurst Park.

21:11 BST - Hwang has the ball in the back of the net to level things for Wolves but there's a check and VAR rules the goal out for a foul in the build-up. Still 1-0 to Bournemouth.

21:08 BST - GOAL! Brereton Díaz has put Sheff Utd ahead again at Old Trafford! What a story it would be for them if they were to win tonight. Though it's not a story Ten Hag would want to be a part of.

20:52 BST - HALF-TIME: Klopp has never lost at Goodison Park but his side are 1-0 down at the break after Branthwaite took the lead for the hosts. Big second half needed from Liverpool if they are to stay in the title chase.

20:49 BST - HALF-TIME: We're also at the halfway mark at Old Trafford where Manchester United and Sheffield United are level at 1-1 thanks to goals from Bogle and Maguire.

20:47 BST - HALF-TIME: There's the break at Selhurst Park where matters remain 0-0 between Crystal Palace and Newcastle.

20:42 BST - GOAL! Maguire has pulled one back for Man Utd after getting on the back of Garnacho's cross. All level between Erik ten Hag's side and Sheffield United.

20:38 BST - HALF-TIME: We've reached the break at Molineux where Bournemouth are 1-0 ahead against Wolves thanks to Semenyo's goal.

20:36 BST - GOAL! And now Bogle has put Sheffield United 1-0 ahead against Manchester United! We could be in for a few upsets tonight...

20:27 BST - GOAL! There's a score at Goodison Park and it's Branthwaite who has made things very interesting with a goal for Everton after a mad scramble in the box. There was an incredibly long VAR check but the goal will stand and it's 1-0 to the home side in the Merseyside derby.

20:22 BST - GOAL! We have our first goal of the night, and it comes courtesy of Semenyo who puts Bournemouth 1-0 up against Wolves at Molineux.

20:00 BST - And we are off in the other three fixturs, including at Goodison Park where Klopp is overseeing his final Merseyside derby.

19:45 BST - We have kicked off at Molineux in the first of our four fixtures tonight.

19:27 BST - Just the one change from Crystal Palace in response, with Ayew starting and Olise on the bench.

19:20 BST - The big news from Newcastle is the Wilson has been named on the bench and could make a first appearance for the side since February. The starting XI, though, is unchanged from the one that dismantled Spurs 4-0 last time out.

19:18 BST - Sheffield United have matched Bournemout and swapped their keeper tonight, with Foderingham replacing Grbic. Foderingham is one of four changes to the side that lost to Burnley, with Holgate and Brooks brought in to replace Souza and McAtee who drop to the bench. The final change see Archer take over from McBurnie who misses out entirely through injury.

19:09 BST - Liverpool have made no fewer than six changes to their starting XI after Klopp rested so many players for the 3-1 win at Fulham, with Konate, Szoboszlai, Nunez, Mac Allister, Salah and Jones all starting. Quansah, Elliott, Endo and Gravenberch drop to the bench, and Gakpo and Jota miss out today.

14:52 BST - Manchester City's Premier League title bid has suffered a blow after Norway striker Erling Haaland was ruled out of Thursday's crucial clash at Brighton.

"Erling is not ready for tomorrow, the other two, they are ready," Pep Guardiola told reporters on Wednesday. "I know it is not a big issue, but he is not allowed for this game."
