Match report
Still holding the basic aim of establishing long-term Premier League (PL) membership, Leeds almost scored straight from kick-off, as Brenden Aaronson flicked onto Dominic Calvert-Lewin, whose shot was parried away by Đorđe Petrović.
The striker then had another chance to net in back-to-back games, as he diverted Sean Longstaff’s cross-come-shot towards goal, but Petrović denied him again.
Yet, despite the hosts’ early dominance, they fell behind against the run of play. Targeting his fourth goal of the season, Antoine Semenyo saw his low free-kick deceive the wall and goalkeeper as it went into the net.
However, Leeds got themselves level before HT, as Joe Rodon headed Longstaff’s corner home for his first-ever PL goal.
After three new signings scored for Leeds at Wolves last weekend, another put them in front early in the second half. The ball broke nicely to Longstaff in the box, and he struck beautifully in off the post.
The same combination for the equaliser then almost secured a third for the Whites, as Rodon met another outswinging Longstaff corner, but this time Petrović got behind his effort.
Leeds kept probing in the latter stages, with Petrović doing well to push Jack Harrison’s long-range strike away, but in stoppage time, Bournemouth snatched a point to break Whites hearts. Substitute Eli Junior Kroupi brilliantly volleyed a long ball into the net to spare Cherries’ blushes.

Having scored for a fifth successive away league match, Bournemouth moved up to second in the table, while Leeds dropped to 11th.
