Enzo Maresca is set to replace Pep Guardiola at Manchester City as he prepares to leave the club.

Reports claimed on Monday night that Guardiola will leave City at the end of the season, in what would be one of the biggest announcements of the season.

The clash with Aston Villa at the weekend is expected to be his final match at the helm, as he waves goodbye to supporters alongside Bernardo Silva who will also be departing the club.

This leaves City searching for their first new manager in 10 years and according to reports, there eyes are firmly set on former Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca.

Maresca, 46, worked under Guardiola as his assistant before taking over at Leicester in 2023. The Italian looks set to make a swift return to management, just months after leaving the head coach position at Chelsea.

Maresca has already agreed to succeed Guardiola, as per talkSPORT, which is no surprise after he flirted with a move to the club last year as Guardiola decided on his future.

City, who won the League Cup and added the FA Cup on Saturday, have already reached an agreement with Maresca, according to reports and are likely to announce him as head coach over the next month as the season concludes.

The Citizens are set to name a stand at the Etihad after Guardiola after he brought 20 trophies to the club. He will be almost impossible to replace as Maresca steps up and tries to lead the side into a new era.
