From Chelsea "flop" to Premier League legend, Mohamed Salah has enjoyed quite the journey since moving to Anfield in the summer of 2017.

Having signed from Roma for a sizeable fee of £34 million, Salah’s arrival at Liverpool was initially met with plenty of scepticism from the club’s supporters.

The Egyptian, however, immediately allayed those doubts, establishing himself as a world-class winger under the stewardship of Jurgen Klopp.

The numbers speak for themselves: 441 appearances across all competitions, 257 goals, and nine major trophies. Salah has undoubtedly etched his name into the pantheon of Liverpool greats.

From memorable Merseyside derby strikes to scintillating solo goals against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, Salah has compiled a long list of special moments in red.

Not to mention, 16 goals against rivals Manchester United, including a magnificent hat-trick at Old Trafford in 2021.

However, after nine record-breaking years at Liverpool, Salah is set to make his final appearance for the Reds in their season finale against Brentford on Sunday.

It promises to be an emotionally-charged afternoon at Anfield, with long-term teammate Andy Robertson also playing his final game for the club.

Amongst Salah’s four Premier League golden boots and a club-record 53 goals in Europe, there are plenty of strikes that will live long in the memory.

Here at Flashscore, we’ve delved into the archives and picked one standout goal from each of his nine seasons at the club. Enjoy!

2017/18: Manchester City (A)

Salah's debut campaign at Liverpool was full of spectacular moments, ranging from a Puskas-winning goal in the Merseyside derby to a stunning brace against former side Roma in the Champions League semi-finals.

However, given the magnitude of the occasion, as well as the timing of the goal, it's difficult to look past the Egyptian's strike against Man City in the second leg of their blockbuster European clash at the Etihad.

Armed with a three-goal lead from the first leg at Anfield, the Reds conceded early on in Manchester before facing an almighty onslaught from Guardiola's side.

Liverpool needed a spark of inspiration, and Salah duly delivered, latching onto a loose ball in the box to finish deftly over a helpless City defence. Arms outstretched in front of a jubilant away end, Salah had well and truly announced himself on the biggest stage.

2018/19: Chelsea (H)

Amid a fiercely competitive title race with Man City, Liverpool could ill afford to drop points in the closing weeks of the 2018/19 season.

Anfield was still catching its breath from Sadio Mane's opener against Chelsea when Virgil van Dijk's diagonal pass found Salah wide in the right channel.

The winger instantly fashioned a yard of space for himself infield, and couldn't have dreamt of making a sweeter connection with his strike, arrowing a 25-yard screamer straight into the top-left corner.

2019/20: Manchester United (H)

A symbolic defeat of Man Utd was given the final flourish it deserved, as Salah raced onto Alisson Becker's inch-perfect long kick to slot home in front of the Kop.

Salah ripped off his shirt in delight, Alisson ran the length of the pitch to celebrate, and Liverpool supporters finally allowed themselves to believe as a chant of "We're gonna win the league" beckoned around Anfield.

The 30-year wait for a top-flight title was almost over...

2020/21: West Ham United (A)

Liverpool's 'Red Arrows' were renowned for their counter-attacking prowess under Klopp, and this was on full display during Salah's scintillating breakaway goal at West Ham.

The move started with Trent Alexander-Arnold spraying a trademark pass into the path of Xherdan Shaqiri, who, after a brief glance across the pitch, swept a glorious first-time ball in the direction of Salah.

The Egyptian cushioned Shaqiri's pass with an exquisite first touch before prodding home beyond Lukasz Fabianski to put the seal on a devastating attack.

2021/22: Manchester City (H)

Liverpool and Man City played out a four-goal thriller at the back end of 2021, and not for the first time in the fixture (or the last), it was Salah who stole the show for Klopp's side.

With his back to goal and three opposing players in close proximity, the talismanic winger embarked on a mesmerising solo run, shimmying his way past all three City markers before chopping inside a fourth defender in the box.

With the ball still somehow under his control, Salah composed himself and powered an unstoppable right-footed effort into the far corner beyond the reach of Ederson. It was a moment of sheer individual brilliance from the Egyptian.

Salah repeated the trick against Watford a fortnight later, before netting a superb hat-trick at Old Trafford the following week, capping a truly breathtaking run of form from Liverpool's number 11.

2022/23: Manchester City (H)

Having picked up just two wins from their opening eight Premier League games in the 2022/23 campaign, Liverpool welcomed reigning champions Man City to Anfield in desperate need of a statement victory.

The match looked to be heading for a draw with 75 minutes on the clock… that was until Alisson launched a long clearance in the direction of Salah on the halfway line.

The Egyptian showed incredible skill and awareness to control the ball while riding the challenge of last-man Joao Cancelo. He then raced through on goal and slotted a clinical finish past Ederson to send the Kop into delirium.

2023/24: Arsenal (H)

Salah bagged an impressive 10 goals against Arsenal during his time at Liverpool, with this one in December 2023 arguably the pick of the bunch.

Picked out by Alexander-Arnold, Salah eased his way inside Oleksandr Zinchenko before rifling an emphatic finish into the roof of the net to draw the Reds level in a crucial top-of-the-table clash.

2024/25: Tottenham (H)

With Liverpool needing a victory at home to Tottenham to clinch the Premier League title, the Reds delivered a five-star performance in front of a raucous Anfield crowd.

Armed with a 3-1 lead at half-time, Salah inevitably left his mark on proceedings in the second period, cutting inside Destiny Udogie and firing an unerring finish into the bottom corner.

It was an iconic moment in front of the Kop for the Egyptian, who marked the occasion with a selfie with his adoring supporters.

2025/26: Everton (A)

Despite a difficult final season at the club, Salah provided a telling contribution in his last-ever match against Everton, scoring the first Merseyside derby goal at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Picked out by a superb pass from Cody Gakpo, the Egyptian held his nerve to slot a composed finish beyond Jordan Pickford, sparking wild scenes of celebration in the away end.

It was Salah’s ninth Premier League goal against the Toffees, equalling Steven Gerrard’s record tally in the fixture. A fitting finale for the King.
