There's barely time to catch our breath as the English Premier League season marches into gameweek 34. We begin in East Sussex on Tuesday for Brighton v Chelsea. There are another two games on Wednesday, one on Friday, five on Saturday, with the spare decided on Monday evening at Old Trafford.

Who will be the big winners and losers of the week? The top flight of English football is perfectly poised for a grandstand finish. Entering the round, we have Arsenal and Man City battling it out for top spot. Another six teams hold hopes of securing a top-five finish, while five clubs are involved in a battle to avoid relegation and remain in the EPL.

Brighton v Chelsea, Tuesday, 20:00 BST

We begin on Tuesday at Falmer Stadium, where Brighton aim to pile pressure on Chelsea in a showdown you can follow on TV and live streaming apps. The Seagulls enter in fine form, winning four and drawing one of their previous five starts. Fabian Hurzeler's team started the week ninth in the EPL and would climb above Chelsea with the right result.

A season that started with so much promise is in real danger of collapsing in the final stages. FIFA Club World Cup champions Chelsea have lost each of their last four and suffered defeat in five of six. The Londoners hosted Man City and Man Utd in recent games, losing to both. In those two games, Chelsea leaked four goals and scored none. It could get worse in midweek.

On paper, Chelsea has the more talented squad, but I'm happy to oppose the visitors until they show us something better. During that four-match losing streak in the league, the Blues conceded eight goals and scored none. Their last away goal in the EPL came at Villa Park back in early March. Keep it simple and back the home team, boasting solid recent form.

Tip: Brighton or draw @ 4/9 (bet365)

Bet explanation: When playing the double chance market, you'll secure a profit if the locals can avoid defeat on Tuesday.

Burnley v Man City, Wednesday, 20:00 BST

Burnley vs Man City

Just 24 hours later, we enjoy a match at Turf Moor that will have a huge say in the outcome of the Premier League title this spring. Burnley host Manchester City, with the locals targeting a win that would boost their chances of avoiding last place. The Clarets have won just four games this term, and seem likely to make a quickfire return to the second tier.

Manchester City looked out of the title race late last year, but Pep Guardiola's side are back in the thick of the action. Encouraged by a long unbeaten run, victory in Lancashire would move City level on 70 points with long-term leaders Arsenal. With the Gunners losing their previous two starts in this competition, Man City know they must take full advantage.

Burnley have banked one of the last 18 points available. Man City have collected 14 in the same period. The head-to-head stats available now on the Flashscore app show these teams have met once already this term, with City strolling to a 5-1 win at the Etihad Stadium in September. Man City also won 3-0 when last here. Back the visitors on the handicap.

Tip: Man City -1 handicap @ 4/9 (bet365)

Bet explanation: You need Man City to beat Burnley by at least two clear goals to land this bet.

Sunderland v Nottingham Forest, Friday, 20:00 BST

Sunderland vs Nottingham Forest

We've got that Friday feeling as Sunderland and Nottingham Forest prepare to do battle before a crowd at the Stadium of Light, with millions more following on TV. Opening the weekend with a home win would improve the Black Cats' chances of rescuing a top-10 finish, but their recent form is far from convincing, losing two of their last four matches.

Nottingham Forest arrive from the City Ground under real pressure to put distance between themselves and the relegation zone. The Tricky Trees started the week in 16th, five points better than Tottenham and the bottom three. To their credit, Forest aren't going down without a fight. Vitor Pereira's battlers step off the team coach unbeaten in their previous five.

Nottingham Forest desperately need a win to help protect their place in the Premier League. It's worth noting that they've drawn three of their last five, and I'm backing another level finish. Sunderland won 1-0 at the City Ground back in September, but there has been no more than one goal between the clubs in their previous five meetings. Back the draw.

Tip: Draw @ 9/4 (bet365)

Bet explanation: The number of goals and scorers aren't important here. Followers need Nottingham Forest to earn a fourth draw in six league games.

Fulham v Aston Villa, Saturday, 12:30 BST

Fulham vs Aston Villa

With no matches played on Sunday, Premier League followers enjoy an exciting five-game Saturday programme. We begin at Craven Cottage, where Fulham host Aston Villa in the early afternoon kick-off. The Cottagers lack consistency, with two wins, two draws, and a couple of defeats in their last six. That run shows why Fulham are stuck in midtable.

Aston Villa sit in a prominent position and are now likely to secure a Champions League spot. It has been another incredible campaign for all connected to the club from Birmingham, but manager Unai Emery won't allow his stars to wind down before the end. Villa have taken seven of the last nine points available, scoring five goals in their two EPL games this month.

Aston Villa have far more to aim at here, and I'm confident that will show in the performance of both teams and in the result. Villa beat Fulham 3-1 in the reverse of this fixture, and won by the same scoreline when last visiting West London. Here's one for lovers of the trends. 3-1 was the result in two of the previous three meetings, and in three of five games.

Tip: Aston Villa and BTTS @ 15/4 (bet365)

Bet explanation: Aston Villa must win at Craven Cottage, but you need Fulham to score at least once in defeat.

Wolves v Tottenham, Saturday, 15:00 BST

With three matches scheduled for the fan-friendly Saturday 15:00 kick-off, it's great news for football bettors. We focus on the meeting at Molineux. Few would've predicted it back in August, but Wolves v Tottenham is a gripping relegation battle. The hosts are rock-bottom and heading to the Championship after failing to win 30 of their previous 33 league games.

Tottenham started the week third from bottom of the Premier League. Are Spurs too big a club to go down? Just ask the likes of West Ham, Newcastle, Southampton and Leicester. Collecting just two points from their last six matches has the Londoners in a world of trouble. Spurs have played twice in the league this month, scoring two goals and conceding three.

Wolves are the weakest team in the division, and have been for much of the season. Neither side can be trusted with our stake, meaning we avoid the match-winner betting. Instead, we're backing both teams to score for the sixth game in a row. That run goes back to November 2023, with matches here ending in 2-1 and 4-2 wins for the Wanderers.

Tip: Both teams to score @ 7/10 (bet365)

Bet explanation: Both Wolves and Tottenham must find the net at least once each in Saturday's renewal.

Arsenal v Newcastle, Saturday, 17:30 GMT

Arsenal vs Newcastle

Time for one more? We're back in the Big Smoke, where long-term league leaders Arsenal host Newcastle United in a clash broadcast live. The Gunners have looked like champions in waiting for much of this campaign, but we're seeing cracks appear under pressure. Mikel Arteta's side have lost their last two, beaten 2-1 by both Bournemouth and Manchester City.

Newcastle travel from St James' Park to the Emirates Stadium with nothing to lose. While their opponents are fighting for success in both the Premier League and the Champions League, the Magpies will settle into midtable. Defeat in each of their previous three means Newcastle won't trouble either the prize places or the relegation spots. They're tailing off.

Both clubs lost their last two games, but Arsenal are at home and have more to play for here. Victory and all three points would seriously boost their title chances at this late stage of proceedings. Arsenal have taken six points from their last two meetings with Newcastle, including a 1-0 at this venue last year, thanks to a goal from Declan Rice on 55 minutes.

Tip: Arsenal win @ 12/25 (bet365)

Bet explanation: If Arsenal beat Newcastle, you beat the bookies.
