After long months of negotiations, white smoke. Leão has an agreement with AC Milan to extend his contract with the club until 2029, a five-year extension.
The only thing missing is an agreement with Sporting. At stake is the situation of the unilateral termination of the contract with the Lions in 2018, after the invasion of the Alcochete Academy.
After a legal war, the Portuguese international was ordered to pay 16 million euros to Sporting, to which they add six million euros in interest and legal costs.
However, Sporting now demands the value of the termination clause inscribed in Leão's contract at the time, 45 million euros.
A situation that Milan are trying to get around, with negotiations with the board led by Frederico Varandas due to take place next week.
