Steve Clarke’s men are still feeling the halo effects of a superb qualification campaign, which saw them acquire 13 points from six fixtures.
It seemed as if automatic entry into this summer’s finals had eluded Scotland following a gut-wrenching 3-2 loss to Greece in Piraeus, but a highly dramatic victory over Denmark ensured the Tartan Army would be present at a World Cup for the first time since 1998.
The Scots suffered disappointing 1-0 defeats to Japan and the Ivory Coast in March, but are now rediscovering their form at the ideal time.
By easing past World Cup debutants Curaçao at Hampden a fortnight ago and hammering Bolivia 4-0 in New Jersey on Saturday evening, Scotland netted four goals in back-to-back matches for the first time in almost a century.

Meanwhile, Haiti have produced a mixed bag of results following the high of qualifying for the World Cup for just the second time ever.
Les Grenadiers also played two friendlies in March, losing to Tunisia at Toronto’s BMO Field before returning to the same venue to draw 1-1 with Iceland. Their final World Cup preparations took them to Florida, where they comfortably dispatched New Zealand but were narrowly beaten by Peru.
However, Sébastien Migné’s side will nevertheless be in confident spirits. Despite having to play their ‘home’ fixtures abroad, the Haitians lost only two of their ten CONCACAF qualifiers and therefore qualified without needing to compete in the inter-confederation playoffs.
The Stade Sylvio Cator may have fallen into possession of the gangs that are currently causing disorder throughout the entire country, but Haiti were still able to perform well beyond expectations.

Haiti team news
Sébastien Migné will be monitoring the condition of two players, but otherwise has a fully fit squad to choose from.
Having recently undergone surgery to repair a damaged meniscus in his knee, there was some concern over whether captain and first-choice goalkeeper Johny Placide would be ready to feature at the World Cup. The 38-year-old started both of Haiti’s World Cup warm-up matches, so expect him to assume his regular position between the sticks.
Derrick Etienne Jr. picked up a knock while representing club side Toronto at the end of last month, but seems to have recovered. The American-born winger was introduced as a second-half substitute against New Zealand and Peru, suggesting he’ll be available to contribute in some capacity on Sunday morning.
No one scored more goals in CONCACAF qualifying than experienced centre-forward Duckens Nazon, who is set to lead the line alongside Sunderland’s Wilson Isidor.

Scotland team news
Billy Gilmour was cruelly ruled out of the World Cup after sustaining a knee injury during the first half of Scotland’s 4-1 triumph over Curaçao, but Steve Clarke still has plenty of options in midfield.
The former Kilmarnock boss subsequently drafted promising Manchester United youngster Tyler Fletcher into his squad, while Serie A-based duo Lewis Ferguson and Scott McTominay have recently built an effective partnership in the middle of the park.
It remains to be seen who will feature on Scotland’s flanks, with four players vying for two starting berths. Ryan Christie is expected to make way for the returning John McGinn, while Ben Gannon-Doak should get the nod ahead of in-form winger Findlay Curtis.
Although he only used him sparingly during qualification, Clarke will find it difficult to leave out Lawrence Shankland. The 30-year-old frontman – who recently secured a move to Rangers following another prolific season with Hearts – put two past Curaçao ‘keeper Eloy Room before heading home Scotland’s opener at the RB Arena last weekend.
Che Adams is unlikely to be dropped after netting seven times in his last nine international appearances, which means Charlton striker Lyndon Dykes may have to settle for a place on the bench.
Despite facing significant pressure from Craig Gordon, Nottingham Forest stopper Angus Gunn is set to retain the number one jersey. Gordon had been nursing a shoulder issue throughout the closing stages of the season, but managed to keep a clean sheet in his 77-minute stint against Curaçao.

Where to watch on TV or live stream?
Sunday’s clash will be televised exclusively live on BBC One, with all regional variations of the channel receiving the same broadcast. Kelly Cates presents coverage from the studio alongside Scott Brown, Joe Hart, and Rachel Corsie, while a commentary team of Liam McLeod and former Scotland forward James McFadden describes the action at the Gillette Stadium.
Online viewers can stream the match via BBC iPlayer or the BBC Sport website, with full match highlights being uploaded onto both of these platforms following the final whistle.
Head-to-Head record
These two teams have never previously faced one another, which is perhaps unsurprising given Haiti’s limited experience at FIFA’s most prestigious international competition.
Interestingly, Scotland have failed to win each of their last nine World Cup encounters against opponents from the Americas. They only faced one CONCACAF representative throughout this winless run, losing 1-0 to Costa Rica on the opening matchday of Italia 90’
Only three international teams – Wales, Egypt, and Norway – have endured a longer gap between World Cup appearances than Haiti, which ended an agonising 52-year wait by qualifying for this summer’s finals. Les Grenadiers will hope for a better outcome on this occasion, after losing three times and shipping 14 goals – the second-most in World Cup group stage history – in Switzerland in 1954.
