Muchova v Noskova - 16:00 BST
Match news and form
Karolina Muchova, who had suffered first-round exits in her last four Wimbledon appearances, has surged into her second career Grand Slam final at this tournament. She had not won a match at the All England Club since the time she posted quarterfinal finishes in back-to-back outings in 2019 and 2021.
After defeating 2024 champion Barbora Krejcikova in three sets and Naomi Osaka in close straight sets, Muchova faced two-time major champion Coco Gauff in the semi-finals. She blew a 6-3 lead in the deciding set tiebreak and a dramatic match point before prevailing 6-2, 1-6, 7-6.
Muchova was already having a brilliant time before stepping foot on grass last month, having won 22 matches in her first six tournaments of the season. She followed up her title in Doha with a grass-court trophy in Bad Homburg and is currently on a ten-match winning streak on the surface.
Linda Noskova confirmed a historic all-Czech Wimbledon final after knocking out Marta Kostyuk, 6-4, 6-4, in just an hour and 19 minutes. Similar to Muchova, she had arrived at Wimbledon after winning a WTA 500 grass title in Berlin and has now shot into her first major championship match.
Noskova began having success on grass when she won eight matches last year, leading to a semi-final in Bad Homburg and a maiden fourth-round appearance at Wimbledon. She has since left those results behind after beating Sorana Cirstea (saved a match point), Madison Keys and Elise Mertens this fortnight.
At 21, Noskova has become the youngest Wimbledon finalist since Eugenie Bouchard in 2014. Until this month, she had a modest track record at Grand Slam events, at best reaching the quarter-final at the 2024 Australian Open and overall the second-week stage of majors on just two occasions.
Head-to-head
Muchova leads 1-0. The compatriots met in the third round of the US Open last year when the older Czech rallied after losing the first set in a tiebreak.
Stats & facts
Muchova has lost six of nine career finals, though claimed two of her three titles this year (Doha, Bad Homburg).
Muchova is in a Grand Slam final for the second time in her career. Three years ago at the French Open, she fell to Iga Swiatek after a battle.
Muchova is on an 11-match winning streak against fellow Czechs on tour, going back to the 2021 season.
Noskova stands 2-5 in career finals after recently beating Jessica Pegula in Berlin in three sets.
Noskova has won more tour-level matches on grass courts since the start of 2025 than anyone else (19).
One of them is guaranteed to become the third woman in the history of Wimbledon to win the title after saving a match point.
Betting analysis
Both Czechs have won 11 matches apiece in this grass-court summer and will have, more or less, equal opportunity to come away as the newest Grand Slam champion. If compelled to pick, Muchova will have a marginal edge over Noskova, who has never won a title above WTA 500 level nor played a Grand Slam final.
