Taylor is widely regarded as the greatest darts player of all time.
Now 66, he won 82 PDC major titles during his career, including the World Darts Championship 14 times and the World Matchplay 16 times, with that trophy since being named after him.
After a 31-year career, including 26 years with the PDC, Taylor retired in 2018. He returned once more for the 2022 World Seniors Championship, but without success.
The following year brought no joy either, and “The Power” finally ended his career for good in May 2025 – or so it seemed.
On Tuesday morning, the Modus Super Series released a teaser for the fourth edition of “International Pairs” – a tournament in which compatriots compete as doubles pairings. Taylor’s partner Lewis has previously competed alongside Steve Beaton.
The defending champions are the Belgian pairing of Brian Raman and Andy Baetens.
Germany were represented most recently by Daniel Klose and Paul Krohne. No further teams for “International Pairs 4” have yet been announced.
