One of the most unpredictable Premier League seasons to date threw up more twists and turns over the weekend, with the title race, battle for European places and the fight to avoid relegation all still tightly contested.

With a number of standout performers, here is Flashscore's Premier League Team of the Week.

GK - Neto (Bournemouth)

The goalkeeper made five saves and had an immense contribution to relegation-threatened Bournemouth beating top four chasers Liverpool 1-0.

Neto showed his class as a former Barcelona player, helping the Cherries gain a valuable three points - captaining the side to victory.

DEF - Kyle Walker-Peters (Southampton)

Another shock result came at Old Trafford where Southampton held Manchester United to a goalless draw, and perhaps could have taken all three points had their finishing been sharper.

Walker-Peters excelled at full-back and contributed both defensively and going forward, limiting the United attackers to very few chances and keeping the likes of Marcus Rashford and Antony quiet.

DEF - Gabriel Magalhaes (Arsenal)

Arsenal were excellent in their 3-0 thrashing of London rivals Fulham, scoring all of their goals in the first half and coasting through the second period with little pressure at all.

Gabriel Magalhaes netted the opener and defended well throughout the match, showing clear signs of his progression since returning from the World Cup break.

Honourable mention to his defensive partner William Saliba, who was also fantastic.

DEF - Manuel Akanji (Manchester City)

Manuel Akanji has received some strange criticism from sections of football fans since arriving at Manchester City, but the Swiss international has arguably been one of their most consistent defenders alongside Nathan Ake.

He continued to prove his worth to Pep Guardiola's team with another good performance in their 1-0 win against Crystal Palace, helping City keep their third successive clean sheet in all competitions.

DEF - Ben Chilwell (Chelsea)

Chelsea faced Leicester City in the hunt for just their third league win in 2023, and the Blues showed up when needed to comfortably beat their opponents 3-1.

Former Foxes player Ben Chilwell opened the scoring despite a barrage of abuse from the home crowd for most of the match, helping his current side to a crucial victory.

His return to fitness has coincided with an improvement in results for Graham Potter's side, who have won their last three games.

MID - Philip Billing (Bournemouth)

As with Neto, Philip Billing had a strong influence during Bournemouth's shock win against Liverpool.

The midfielder scored the only goal in a famous victory for the Cherries, and in truth a number of his teammates could have made our Team of the Week after an exceptional performance.

MID - Thomas Partey (Arsenal)

Thomas Partey was another player who had a major impact in Arsenal's victory against Fulham, running the midfield during his time on the pitch.

His defensive work meant Fulham had very little opportunity to break up the pitch and allowed the attackers in front of him to flourish in front of goal.

The Ghanaian had been a big miss for the Gunners over the last month, but his welcome return from injury will help them in the run in for the remainder of the season.

MID - Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea)

Enzo Fernandez arrived in England with huge expectations after Chelsea spent a British transfer record (£106m) to sign the Argentine from Benfica, and his performance against Leicester highlighted just why he commanded a high fee.

The midfielder expertly set up Kai Havertz for the Blues' second goal and his man of the match performance helped them earn their third win in as many games going into a crucial point in the season.

FWD - Alexander Isak (Newcastle United)

Alexander Isak was reintroduced to a struggling Newcastle side on Sunday and lead the line in their 2-1 win against Wolves.

The Swedish forward opened the scoring and was effective throughout the match, causing all sorts of problems for the opposition defenders.

FWD - Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur)

Despite a disappointing showing in the week where Spurs crashed out of the Champions League against AC Milan, Antonio Conte's team returned to winning ways with a resounding 3-1 win against Nottingham Forest.

Harry Kane scored the first two goals, taking his Premier League tally to 20 for the season and his overall scoring record in the top flight to 203 - just five shy of Wayne Rooney and 57 off of Alan Shearer's all-time record of 260.

FWD - Leandro Trossard (Arsenal)

Leandro Trossard contributed three assists in Arsenal's win against Fulham, having a direct hand in every goal scored by the Gunners.

The Belgian caused problems all afternoon down the left-hand side and proved why clubs from the 'big six' were so keen to sign him in January.
