France won't have to wait long to find out who they'll meet in the semis, with Spain and Belgium doing battle tomorrow for the right to face the 2022 runners-up in the final four.

00:05 CET - Les Blues' biggest stars continue to deliver at this World Cup, with Mbappe and Dembele their star men tonight. It's hard to see anyone stopping France if those two are on form.
00:01 CET - France match into the semi-finals!
Morocco made things difficult for their opponents in the first half, but in truth, nothing other than a France win ever looked on the cards, with Mbappe and co showing why they're tournament favourites with an assured performance.

23:51 CET - France are seeing things out here without too much trouble. Mbappe has come off after taking a slight knock, but he didn't seem worried.
This will be the third World Cup semi-final in a row for Didier Deschamps' side.
23:31 CET - Ousmane Dembele makes it 2-0!
Mbappe lays the ball off to Dembele just inside the Morocco half, and the Ballon d'Or holder charges towards goal before firing with his left foot from just outside the box!
In the space of about five minutes, Les Blues may have just sealed their spot in the final four.
23:25 CET - Mbappe gives France the lead!
The Real Madrid picks up the ball just outside the box and curls it beautifully into the far corner!
It's fair to say he's made amends, and made amends in style. As a result, he now has eight goals at this year's tournament and 20 World Cup goals in total - only Lionel Messi (21) has more.
23:13 CET - The second half is underway! Can either side break the deadlock, or do we have a long night ahead of us?
22:54 CET - The half-time whistle has blown, and things are just as they started: goalless.
France have looked the more likely of the two nations to open the scoring, but for all of their pressure, they haven't created a huge amount outside of Mbappe's chance from the spot.
22:47 CET - Bono is undoubtedly the star of the first half. France have created a few more chances, but he's been equal to all of them.
Incredibly, he's now only been beaten by two of the nine penalties he's faced across the two World Cups he's played in.
22:30 CET - Kylian Mbappe misses a penalty!
The Real Madrid forward is brought down in the box, but sees the spot kick that follows saved by Bono!
The Moroccan keeper was a hero from the spot against the Netherlands, and has now delivered again. That being said, Mbappe made it easy for him, with his effort being very tame and at a perfect height for the goalie.
22:20 CET - France have made a strong start, having 61% of the ball and all five of the match's shots in the opening 18 minutes, but it remains goalless.

20:40 CET - The lineups are in! France make one change, with Desire Doue replacing PSG teammate Bradley Barcola, while Anass Salah-Eddine and Soufiane Rahimi come into the Moroccan side, with star man Ismael Saibari absent through injury.
20:01 CET - This is the second World Cup in a row which has pitted France and Morocco against one another, with the French prevailing in the 2022 semi-final.
They've won three of their last five clashes with the Atlas Lions, who were able to hold to them to draws in the other two.
18:30 CET - We are closing in on the match now, with just three and a half hours until kick-off between France and Morocco in Massachusetts.

15:45 CET - Hello and welcome to our coverage of the first quarter-final at the 2026 World Cup! It's some way to start the stage too, with heavyweights France taking on African giants Morocco at the Gillette Stadium just outside of Boston from 22:00 CET.
We are coming off the tournament's first proper rest day, meaning our minds are refreshed and, hopefully, the players are too, with a spot in the semi-finals on the line.
In short, today's is the biggest match at the World Cup so far, and with just one fixture today, we can really sink our teeth into it.

The 2026 World Cup took place from June 11th to July 19th in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The tournament featured 48 national teams and was won by Spain, who beat Argentina in the final.
