We will be back this afternoon to build up to a packed day three at the World Cup from 13:00 CET, but until then, goodbye!

05:05 CET - Adding insult to injury, the Americans continue to pour it on as Giovanni Reyna drills a nightcap with his first-ever World Cup goal to take home the 4-1 win over Paraguay.

The Americans' four goals are the most the US have ever scored in a single World Cup match!

It was never close as the US dominated almost entirely across the board from start to finish.

They had possession of the ball for 65% of the match, but felt like much more as they put up one of the greatest displays in their country's World Cup history after outshooting Paraguay 16-9 (6-1 on goal).

Brooklyn, New York native Folarin Balogun led the way with two goals. Balogun almost had a hat trick, but had his first disallowed for offside.

He became the first US player to have a multi-goal game in the World Cup since 1930, when Bert Patenaude scored a hat trick against none other than Paraguay.

04:40 CET - Paraguay cut the USA's lead thanks to a 73rd-minute goal from Mauricio to make it a 3-1 game!

This marks the 24-year-old's first-ever World Cup goal as he makes his tournament debut this year, stating just a day before the matchup, "My dream. My father's dream. And the dream of my entire family has always been to play for Paraguay."

04:10 CET - The second half is underway as Paraguay will try to dig themselves out of a deep hole against the Americans.

03:53 CET - It's the Folarin Balogun special as he scores his second goal of the game to make it 3-0 before the half!

The USA outshot Paraguay 7-2 and maintained possession for 71% of the time - that's the most by any country in the first half in the modern era of the World Cup.

03:34 CET - After having a goal flagged off for offside moments beforehand, Folarin Balogun returned with one that counted to put the Americans up 2-0 in the 31st minute!

This marked Balogun's first career World Cup goal after he chose to play for the USA over England.

03:24 CET - At the 20-minute mark, it's been all USA as they have maintained possession for almost 75% of the matchup!

03:10 CET - Less than seven minutes in after Christian Pulisic splits a pair of defenders, the ball goes off Paraguay's Damian Bobadilla foot to make it a 1-0 game!

It marks the third fastest goal ever scored by the Americans in their World Cup history, and their first time in 20 years they benefited from an own goal.

03:02 CET - The USA and Paraguay matchup is underway for the first matchup out of Group D! This marks the Americans' first World Cup match on home soil for the first time since 1994.

02:04 CET - Just under an hour to go until kick-off, and we have the lineups for USA's opener against Paraguay.

Mauricio Pochettino has been able to name Chris Richards in the starting lineup, with the centre-back cleared to play after an injury, and there are also starts for talisman Christian Pulisic as well as Monaco forward Folarin Balogun.

For Paraguay, a lot of their hopes are pinned on Julio Enciso. The Strasbourg player has recovered after picking up a knock just before the World Cup and has been passed fit to start in LA.

On one hand, the Canadians will rue their missed chances throughout the match and will feel they should have got more. On the other, they’ll be glad they snatched a draw from the jaws of defeat.

As for Bosnia, plenty of positives for them in this one despite conceding late on - they showed they have the tools to get out of Group B.

The top-rated player of the game was Bosnian centre-back Nikola Katic, who earned a Flashscore player rating of 8.6 thanks to his committed display. Not sure how our player ratings work? Take a look at this!

22:40 CET - Canada have their goal! They've been good value for one in all fairness, and finally, the  World Cup co-hosts have scored thanks to a clinical finish from striker Cyle Larin. It's now 1-1 with a little over 10 minutes to play.

That's a huge moment, and the BMO Field is rocking, but is there going to be a winner in Toronto?!

22:23 CET - We are into the last half-hour of regular time, and Canada are huffing and puffing but are still trailing 1-0. Jesse Marsch is ringing the changes now too, in an effort to shake things up - they simply must score!

22:15 CET - The second half is underway between Canada and Bosnia & Herzegovina, and the first real action of the period has seen Bosnia keeper Nikola Vasilj collide with Tani Oluwaseyi in a rather sickening blow, but the players are fine.

21:51 CET - That’s half-time in Toronto, and despite having over 65 per cent possession and seven shots to five, World Cup co-hosts Canada are trailing Bosnia & Herzegovina 1-0, who lead after Jovo Lukic’s headed goal in the 21st minute.

There’s still plenty of time to go, of course, but the Canadian fans will be sweating a bit - they should be in the lead and will be desperate to kick-start their campaign with a win against a side more than 30 ranking places below them.

21:24 CET - Just after Canada looked like taking the lead, Bosnia have opened the scoring in Toronto!

It's come from a corner: Sead Kolasinac got up well for the first touch, before Jovo Lukic powered a second header into the net to make it 1-0 and stun the home fans into silence.

Jonathan David's earlier miss is looking all the more crucial now...

21:21 CET - It’s still goalless after 20 minutes in Toronto, and while Canada have edged possession so far, Bosnia have had just as many shots (three each). The hosts have favoured the left channel so far when attacking and created one huge chance just a minute ago, which Jonathan David failed to convert.
