The main draw ceremony for both the men's and women's singles will take place on Thursday, 27th August. The main draw ceremony will almost certainly not be broadcast live, and we will only find out the full tournament draws once they are released.
Main draw
Mark Sunday, 30th August on your calendar. That is the day the US Open 2026 main draw action begins. The final matches are scheduled for the first half of September. The women's title clash will take place on Saturday, 12th September, and the men will battle for the trophy on Sunday, 13th September.

Seedings
The top 32 players in both the men's and women's singles draws will be seeded. Seeded players cannot face another seed before the third round. For the 2026 US Open, the rankings of 24th August will determine the seeding, since the draw takes place on 27th August.
Qualifying
US Open lasts three weeks, and everything starts with the qualifying competition on Monday, 24th August. The 32 players advancing to the main draw will be known on Thursday, 27th August. A total of 128 men and 128 women will compete in qualifying.
