The President of the United States took part in an event with the FIFA president in New York, joking about the upcoming World Cup: "In the USA without Canada and Mexico."

Donald Trump has once again spoken about the controversial red card given to US striker Folarin Balogun, which was overturned after his phone call to FIFA president Gianni Infantino.

"I just made a suggestion," Trump said at an event in New York alongside the FIFA president.

The White House occupant also shared his thoughts on the next World Cup, urging FIFA to organise it in the United States "without Mexico and Canada."

Trump then joked that it could be held "in the USA and China, so there would only be a short flight to take."

The President of the United States, finally, ventured into a football analysis, admitting that he "knows nothing about football."

"Henry Kane is a great player, a great man. Maybe they made a mistake putting him at the back," said the president, who has played golf in the past with the England national team star.
