Valencia host a Barcelona side who have started the season in superb form. Los Ché are always toughe to beat at the Mestalla, but their could be a tense atmosphere at their iconic stadium following a run of underhwelming results. Rumours suggest the Valencia board are losing patience with Carlos Corberán, so a defeat on Sunday would pile further pressure on the Valencia boss.
With Real Madrid facing a tricky trip to Real Betis on Friday night, Barcelona will likely see this weekend as a potential opportunuity to extend their lead at the summit of the LaLiga table.

A convincing victory for the visitors?
Barcelona have shown flashes of brilliance at the start of this season and somehow seem stronger than last year, at the very least in several aspects of their game. They face a Valencia side in turmoil, with plenty of rumours about unrest in the dressing room. Los Ché have only earned one point so far and therefore need to start competing as soon as possible.
Barça have won five of the last six meetings between these two sides. The only exception to this sequence came in May, after the Catalans had already secured the title.
In each of the three previous meetings between Valencia and Barcelona, Hansi Flick's men scored five or more goals. We’re not expecting a thrashing this time, but we do think Barça will win and score on at least one occasion.
Prediction: Barcelona to win and score 2-5 goals: 10/21 (bet365)
Explanation: This bet will land if Barça win and score either two, three, four, or five goals.
Corners count
Regardless of the outcome at the Mestalla, it's likely Flick's men will carry a far greater attacking threat than their opponents. As they will potentially spend more time in the final third than anywhere else, the visitors can also expect to win plenty of corners.
Barcelona have been awarded more corners than their opponents in each of their last two outings, while the same could be said about the last nine meetings between these two sides. Therefore, we expect this trend to continue on Sunday afternoon.
Prediction: Barcelona to be awarded most corners: X/X (bet365)
Explanation: This bet lands if Barcelona are awarded more corners than Valencia during the match.
Goals galore
Two of Barça's three matches this season have produced over two goals, as has been the case in five of their last seven away fixtures across all competitions. Los Ché head into this one following a high-scoring encounter with Deportivo la Coruña, which they lost 3-1.
Furthermore, each of the last six meetings between these two sides have witnessed more than three goals, while the same could be said of five of Barça's last seven visits to the Mestalla.
Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals: 4/11 (bet365)
Explanation: This bet lands if three or more goals are scored, regardless of the final result.
