After signing his contract alongside Wolverhampton’s director of football operations and administration, Matt Wild, and chief executive, Nathan Shi, César Peixoto toured the facilities, including the first team dressing room and what is now his office, before holding up the club’s commemorative shirt for its 150th anniversary.
Shi said: "We are very pleased to welcome César to Wolves. Throughout our conversations with him, it quickly became clear that he possesses many of the qualities we consider important for the future of this football club.
"We wanted a clear identity, strong leadership qualities and a real desire to win. César demonstrated all of these characteristics, but what impressed me most was his mentality, his work ethic and his willingness to embrace the challenge ahead.
"He is young, energetic and ambitious, but also thoughtful, responsible and ready to challenge himself and those around him in the pursuit of improvement. We believe he will fit perfectly into the culture and vision we are building at Wolves."
"I am proud to be here at this great and historic club in England. It is a huge opportunity for me and I am ready to do everything to put Wolves where it belongs in the Premier League," Peixoto said.
"We have great players, but I believe the team can improve a lot with me and I can also grow as a head coach. I want to stamp my identity on the team, build a strong identity at the club and also help the team develop, showing my identity and my style of play," he added.
"This is an incredible club, and it’s important to me that Wolves play in a way that reflects the fans. It’s a hardworking city, full of energy and passion, and I want them to see a team that plays attacking football, with good organisation and that plays for the supporters.
"I want the fans to be proud of our players, proud of the way we play and the way we fight game after game to win, and to achieve the main goal, which is to get Wolves back to the Premier League."
