After becoming the first team in UEFA Champions League (UCL) history to win an away match by an eight-goal margin, Como will look to continue their fine form on the road when they visit Inter Milan this weekend.

Match News and Current Form

Following their 3-1 Milan derby defeat last Sunday, their first loss in Serie A since early March (W13, D6) and only the second time this campaign that they have dropped points in the league (D1), Inter Milan bounced back impressively with a 3-0 win at Feyenoord in the UCL on Tuesday. Returning to domestic action, the Nerazzurri will be hoping last weekend’s defeat doesn’t kickstart a three-match streak without a victory - as their last league defeat did - but fears should be eased by the fact their Serie A home form has been exemplary this season (W5). Inter will now be targeting six wins from their opening six league games as hosts for only the fifth time in their history and first time since 1979/80.

Como have hit their stride in recent weeks, making it six competitive wins in a row on Wednesday when they demolished Lens 9-1 away in the UCL. Four of those victories have come in Serie A, contributing to Cesc Fàbregas’ side setting a club record tally of 23 points from their opening ten matches of a top-flight campaign, while they have scored 18 times therein, another club record at this stage of a Serie A season. Hitting the road hasn’t deterred the Lariani either, as they have won four of their first six away games in Serie A (D1, L1), double their previous best after as many matches.

Head-to-Head History

Inter have won each of the last 11 Serie A H2Hs against Como and beaten them in all 14 of their home meetings in the league from the 1950/51 season onwards.

Betting Analysis

Goals are usually all but certain where these two sides are concerned, so backing over 3.5 goals seems a logical route to take.
