Borussia Dortmund look to return to winning ways in the Bundesliga when they take on Eintracht Frankfurt, who arrive buoyed having just kept their first clean sheet in the league since March.

Match News and Current Form

Dortmund remain unbeaten in the league this term (W4, D2) and beat Sabah Baku in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, but have lost momentum by drawing their last two Bundesliga fixtures. Going three league matches without a win would be a first under Niko Kovač, although they start this round level on points with leaders Bayern Munich, who they face next week. The Black and Yellows’ defence has been key, as conceding just four times and keeping four clean sheets are both league-bests this season, giving them another reason to be confident of another strong display here given they’ve scored at least twice in all four of their home games this term (W3, D1).

Frankfurt badly needed a response to their 6-0 thrashing by Leipzig on matchday five, and got one with last Friday’s gutsy 1-0 win over Cologne. The Eagles remain in the bottom half having conceded 16 times already in the Bundesliga, suggesting they’ll struggle to end their wait for back-to-back league victories that stretches back to November. There’s certainly been no shortage of entertainment on their travels though, as Frankfurt’s three away league games so far have produced 16 goals (W1, D1, L1), although they conceded ten of them.

Head-to-Head History

Dortmund have beaten Frankfurt 52 times in the Bundesliga, more than any other opponent, while they’ve triumphed in 14 of the last 15 league meetings they hosted (L1).

Betting Analysis

Dortmund’s prolific home scoring record and Frankfurt’s defensive struggles, particularly on the road, make backing Dortmund to win by two or more goals look like a worthwhile approach.
