Nathan Aspinall earned his first weekly title in the Premier League this season after a hard-fought victory over Gerwyn Price on Night 12 in Rotterdam.

Aspinall travelled to Rotterdam Ahoy on the back of last week's quarter-final defeat to Peter Wright in Brighton but he responded in perfect fashion against Price, who move to the top of the standings despite defeat.

'The Asp' kicked off his evening with a win over home favourite Michael van Gerwen before moving past Belgium's Dimitri Van den Bergh to reach the final.

Price - despite being in impressive form - looked off the mark against Aspinall as the 31-year-old took full advantage of the Welshman's 88.52 average to claim the title spoils.

"I've changed something, I've worked so hard to try and find what I needed to find to keep me calm in situations, and it's all come together tonight. I'm really happy," Aspinall told Sky Sports.

"I've put in some good performances, that first game (against Van Gerwen) – I have never experienced anything like that! I'm just really happy to finally get a nightly win and put myself back in the top four.

"I'm so proud of myself. I'm really proud with how I won tonight."

The Premier League will head to the First Direct Arena in Leeds on Thursday, April 27th for Night 13 of the schedule.
