The 2025/26 LaLiga season concludes at the weekend. The final matchday brings an exciting battle for third place as Villarreal welcome Atlético Madrid to Estadio de la Cerámica, while a crucial relegation battle between Girona and Elche unfolds in Catalonia. Elsewhere, Mallorca could preserve their LaLiga status with victory over rock-bottom Oviedo, Real Madrid host mid-table Athletic Bilbao, and Valencia take on newly-crowned champions Barcelona.

The final matchday of La Liga arrives with plenty still at stake. There is a European spot still up for grabs and the two final relegation places are yet to be decided, after Oviedo's fate was sealed several weeks ago. Most of the matches will be played on Saturday at 20:00 (BST). Here are our predictions for the grand finale of this season’s league competition.

Celta Vigo v Sevilla

Celta - Sevilla
Celta - SevillaFlashscore

Celta will be confident of acquiring the point they need to qualify for the Europa League, as the Galicians face a Sevilla side who are already safe from relegation.

Vigo have also won their last two meetings with the Andalusians, so don't be surprised if the hosts to record a comfortable victory at the Estadio de Balaídos.

Prediction: Celta Vigo to win: 8/11 (bet365)

Explanation: This bet will land if Celta Vigo win the match.

Espanyol v Real Sociedad

Espanyol - Real Sociedad
Espanyol - Real SociedadFlashscore

Two teams with nothing at stake clash at the RDCE Stadium. Since qualifying for Europe via last month's Copa del Rey triumph, Real Sociedad have lost much of their competitive edge.

Meanwhile, Espanyol had gone a staggering 18 games without a win before beating fellow northern-based outfits Athletic Bilbao and Osasuna. Given these recent positive results and the fact that they've netted between one and three goals in each of their last three matches, Espanyol seem unlikely to lose this contest.

Furthermore, Real Sociedad have shipped between one and three goals in every match since the cup final ahead of last weekend's thrilling encounter with Valencia, which saw them concede on four occasions.

Prediction: Espanyol - Double Chance and Espanyol 1-3 Goals Range: 4/6 (bet365)

Explanation: This bet lands if Real Sociedad do not win the match and Espanyol score exactly one, two, or three goals.

Real Mallorca v Real Oviedo

Mallorca - Oviedo
Mallorca - OviedoFlashscore

Real Mallorca are fighting for survival and desperately need a win, while opponents Oviedo are guaranteed to finish bottom of the LaLiga table.

The Balearic outfit are likely to face Oviedo in the second-tier next term, as they not only need to win this tie but are also relying on favourable results elsewhere.

Mallorca are unbeaten in five home matches, recording three wins and two draws in this sequence. Oviedo have won just one of their last 15 league away fixtures, and suffered defeat in four of their most recent five contests.

For these reasons, we expect the hosts to triumph.

Prediction: Real Mallorca to win: 9/20 (bet365)

Explanation: This bet will land if Real Mallorca win.

Real Betis v Levante

Betis - Levante
Betis - LevanteFlashscore

Betis have already secured Champions League football and therefore have nothing to play for. The Andalusians played within themselves last weekend, as they succombed to champions Barcelona at the Camp Nou.

Levante could still be relegated if they lose and other results don't go their way, but a point would guarantee their safety. However, it's not just the visitors' quest to avoid relegation that has resulted in us making the below prediction.

The Valencians have surged up the table, thanks to accruing 20 points over the last ten matches. Only Barcelona have performed better throughout that period.....

Prediction: Levante - Double Chance: 4/6 (bet365)

Explanation: This bet will land if Real Betis do not win the match.

Girona v Elche

Girona - Elche
Girona - ElcheFlashscore

This is a very risky match to bet on. Although their fate is ultimately in their own hands, Girona can only survive if they win. A draw is enough for Elche to preserve their top-flight status, so the visitors hold the slight advatnage.

The Catalans have struggled to pick up points recently and currently lack a cutting edge up front, although veteran frontman Cristhian Stuani continues to cause problems for opposition defences

Our advice is to avoid betting on this one.

Prediction: No bet

Real Madrid v Athletic Bilbao

Real Madrid - Athletic
Real Madrid - AthleticFlashscore

Real Madrid's disappointing campaign ends at the Bernabéu, where the home crowd will likely express their frustration at regular intervals. Bilbao are also enduring a challenging spell of form, although do still have an outside chance of qualifying for Europe.

We expect Los Blancos to put in another strong performance after last week's victory over Sevilla, as departing duo Dani Carvajal and Álvaro Arbeloa bid farewell to the club. Although a thrashing may not be on the cards, the hosts should win with minimal fuss.

Madrid have scored between one and three goals in eight of their last nine league outings, with the recent El Clásico defeat being the only exception.

Prediction: Real Madrid to win and Real Madrid 1-3 Goals Range: 1/2 (bet365)

Explanation: This bet lands if Real Madrid win the match and score exactly one, two, or three goals.

Valencia v Barcelona

Valencia - Barcelona
Valencia - BarcelonaFlashscore

Should they win, Valencia could still theoretically qualify for next season's Conference League. Indeed, the home side have much more at stake than their opponents, who will finish another successful league campaign as the division's top scorers.

Since Carlos Corberán took over in December 2024, Valencia haven't managed a single goal against Barcelona. However, the previous four clashes between these two sides ahead of Corberán's arrival saw both teams score.

With Valencia desperate to nick a European place and Barcelona always eager to play on the front front, we expect goals at both ends once again.

Prediction: Both Team to Score (BTTS): 4/9 (bet365)

Explanation: This bet will land if both teams score.

Villarreal v Atlético Madrid, Sunday, 20:00 (BST)

Villarreal - Atlético de Madrid
Villarreal - Atlético de MadridFlashscore

The final clash of this season's LaLiga campaign sees Villarreal and Atlético Madrid battle it out for third. Due to Atléti's superior head-to-head record in this fixture, a draw wouldn't be enough for the fourth-placed hosts to leapfrog their opponents.

It's been almost four years since Atléti lost to Villarreal, who will hope to mark Marcelino's final game in charge with a victory.

Prediction: Atlético Madrid - Double Chance: 8/15 (bet365)

Explanation: This bet will land if Villarreal do not win the match.
