The English Premier League presents a five-match programme on Saturday. The action begins at Craven Cottage, where Fulham play Aston Villa in the early start.

Followers then enjoy games from Anfield, the London Stadium, and Molineux in the 15:00 kick-offs. The main attraction pairs Arsenal and Newcastle United in London from 17:30 BST.

We find Arsenal involved in the thick of a title challenge. The Gunners have led the way for much of the campaign, but a dip in form has allowed Man City back into the running. Mikel Arteta and his boys fully understand the importance of winning their home games to stay one step ahead of Pep Guardiola’s team and their grandstand finish. Expect late-season drama.

Fancy making predictions on Arsenal vs Newcastle and targeting a profit. The online bookmakers featured on this page offer a feast of pre-match and live betting markets.

There are over 100 options to choose from, including both teams to score, but which is best? Football betting expert Frank Monkhouse guides you through his three professional picks.

Match winner - Arsenal

I waste no time picking sides in Saturday’s vital clash from the Premier League. Having studied the stats and trends, the recent form of both clubs, and the latest online betting odds, I make the home win a strong pick.

You can back the Gunners to blast the Magpies as a single, but the odds on a home win mean it’s best suited to your weekend accumulators.

Arsenal have failed their last two EPL tests, beaten 2-1 by nearest rivals Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, and 2-1 at home when Bournemouth came calling.

April also brought a 2-1 loss to Southampton in the FA Cup quarter-finals, and a narrow 1-0 win over Sporting in the Champions League over two legs. There’s now no room for error.

Despite their inconsistent recent form, I’m confident Arsenal will have too much for a weary-looking Newcastle in North London. Arsenal won 2-1 at St James’ Park in September, and 1-0 when Newcastle were last in town.

After collecting six points from their last two games against Eddie Howe, Mikel Arteta is trusted to keep the good times rolling. Back the home win.

Tip: Arsenal win @ 12/25 (bet365)

Bet explanation: If Arsenal beat Newcastle, you beat the bookies.

Total goals - Under 3.5

With Arsenal backed to win, let’s move on to my second selection. We head into the total goals market, picking Saturday’s match to produce fewer than four goals from both teams combined.

When backing under 3.5 goals, the winning team, scorers, and the time of the goals don’t concern you. As long as there are three goals or fewer, you’ll make a profit.

When studying the head-to-head stats on the Flashscore app, we spotted that Arsenal have won the previous two renewals of this top-flight fixture, but there’s more.

A bet on under 3.5 goals would’ve given followers reason to celebrate in each of the last five. That purple patch dates back to November 2024, and includes two 1-0 scores and a couple of 2-0 results.

Need a little more convincing? I’ve got you covered. Arsenal have scored just one goal in their last two EPL games, and haven’t managed more than two since putting four past Tottenham in February’s North London derby.

The visitors have found the net only once in each of their last four league matches, including 2-1 defeats in the previous three.

Tip: Under 3.5 goals @ 8/15 (bet365)

Bet explanation: Arsenal vs Newcastle must end with fewer than four goals scored by both teams combined.

Anytime scorer - Gyokeres

Regular readers of my Premier League previews and betting predictions for Flashscore know I often like to sign off with a bet at higher odds. That’s the case again here, as we take a chance on Arsenal’s Viktor Gyokeres.

If you choose to trust this approach, it’s advisable to follow as a single, keeping your stakes responsible. There’s no need to get carried away.

When checking the recent stats of Gyokeres, we see that the 27-year-old attacker from Sweden has scored seven goals in his last 10 appearances for club and country.

Included in that eye-catching run are strikes against Everton, Southampton, and Bournemouth. Arsenal’s number 14 also banked a hat-trick for his nation in a 3-1 win over Ukraine.

If you back Gyokeres to continue his scoring ways, you’ll be glad to know this market covers you for the entire time he’s on the field of play. A wonder goal in the opening 60 seconds pays the same as a tap-in with 92 minutes on the clock.

Stick with a proven scorer who led the line against Sporting the last time Arsenal played at home. He also still has a bit to prove to fans, his manager, and himself.

Tip: Gyokeres to score @ 21/20 (bet365)

Bet explanation: If Viktor Gyokeres scores anytime in Arsenal’s home match against Newcastle on Saturday, you’ll make a profit.
