Everton vs Coventry, Friday, 20:00 GMT

Everton vs Coventry
Everton vs CoventryFlashscore

We enjoy Friday night football from Bramley-Moore Dock.

Everton hold the home advantage over Coventry City, knowing a victory and all three points could drive them into the top four. Three wins, four draws, and two defeats have the Toffees in seventh, with 13 points on the board.

Coventry arrive in 16th, just two points above Crystal Palace and the relegation zone. A win on the road could lift the Sky Blues into the top half of the league.

Friday heralds the first meeting of these famous English clubs since 2001, but which team will mark the occasion with a win?

I'm backing Everton.

The Toffees beat Newcastle United 3-1 in the League Cup when they last played at home, and were 3-0 up before conceding in the 88th minute. They opened November with a 1-0 win over the same opponent at St James' Park.

Everton have played six home games in all competitions so far this season, claiming four wins, one draw, and a defeat. Chelsea are the only team to beat them at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with Pedro Neto bagging a double last month.

The stats show us that each of Everton's last five league wins have been achieved with a clean sheet, including all three this season. They now face a Coventry City side that has managed just 97 shots in their nine previous league games. Only Hull City and Crystal Palace have had fewer attempts.

Coventry have played four away league games this term, beating only Nottingham Forest. They edged the Tricky Trees 1-0, but lost 3-0 at Arsenal, 1-0 at Man City, and 3-1 when visiting Tottenham Hotspur.

Keep things simple and back Everton to bank a third win on the bounce. Add the Toffees to your weekend accumulators.

Tip: Everton win @ 7/10 (bet365)

Bet explanation: If Everton beat Coventry City on Friday evening, you'll beat the bookies and secure a profit.

Leeds United vs Tottenham, Saturday, 12:30 GMT

Leeds vs Tottenham
Leeds vs TottenhamFlashscore

Leeds United welcome Tottenham in the early-afternoon Saturday start at Elland Road.

Daniel Farke's men are winless in their previous five league games, losing two and drawing the other three. The hosts are at a crossroads, four points above the relegation zone and four behind Liverpool in fifth.

Tottenham endured a horrible start to the season, but appear to have found their feet and are heading in the right direction.

Spurs are up to ninth, thanks to a four-match unbeaten run and three wins in their previous three games. A fourth victory would catapult them towards the prize places.

Tottenham have lost just one of their last 13 meetings with Saturday's opponents, winning 10 and drawing the other two. The north Londoners have also won four of their previous five visits to Elland Road, claiming the last nine points available.

Tottenham beat Leeds 4-0 here before banking 4-1 and 2-1 victories.

Not long ago, I wouldn't have backed Spurs with a free bet, but they seem to have turned the corner and are finally working as a team.

The stats and form suggest an away win, and I'm happy to follow at fair odds.

Tip: Tottenham win @ 13/8 (bet365)

Bet explanation: Tottenham to win is a higher price than I expected, making it a simple pick. If they win again at Elland Road, you'll make a profit.

Arsenal vs Hull, Saturday, 15:00 GMT

Arsenal vs Hull
Arsenal vs HullFlashscore

The pick of the Saturday 3pm starts comes from the Emirates Stadium, as Premier League champions and current leaders Arsenal host Hull City.

The Gunners have eight wins and one defeat so far, taking a maximum of 12 points from their last four games. With 14 goals scored and five conceded, they have the best defence in the league after nine rounds.

Hull City were promoted from the Championship last season, and started life back in the top flight rather well. But the Tigers couldn't coudn't maintain that form, and travel to London with four draws and two defeats in their last six. They've scored 11 goals, but conceded 10.

Arsenal are on an impressive seven-match winning streak at the Emirates Stadium. They've also won 18 of their previous 19 games against promoted sides, drawing the other.

I expect Arsenal to continue their winning ways at home, and have no issues adding the locals to my weekend multiples, including Arsenal vs Hull City Bet Builders.

The 1/7 available on the match-winner market isn't ideal, so I'll take Arsenal to win to nil at 8/11 with bet365.

Tip: Arsenal win to nil @ 8/11 (bet365)

Bet explanation: Arsenal must defeat Hull City in London without conceding a goal.

Nottingham Forest vs Man City, Saturday, 17:30 GMT

Nottingham Forest vs Man City
Nottingham Forest vs Man CityFlashscore

Saturday evening's viewing is sorted as Nottingham Forest attempt to inflict a third straight league defeat on visitors Manchester City.

The Tricky Trees start the round with only a sorry Sunderland beneath them in the pecking order. Forest are winless in their last five league games, losing four and drawing one. They were beaten 2-0 at the Gtech Community Stadium last time.

Man City suffered back-to-back league defeats, losing 2-1 at Villa Park, and 1-0 at home to Brighton seven days ago. They remain in second place, but are three points behind leaders Arsenal, and two better than third-placed Brighton.

A meeting with a relegation-threatened side comes at the perfect time for Man City. They must return to winning ways, and have a great chance of doing just that.

Traders working at the bet365 app offer an away win at 4/6, and that will do a fantastic job in your accumulators. I expect it to be popular.

The head-to-head stats available on the Flashscore app show that Nottingham Forest have won only one of their last nine meetings with Man City. That victory came back in the 2024/25 campaign.

There's one final thing to consider.

Forest are winless in their last six EPL home games, and have drawn a blank in the last four. Man City will have little trouble getting back on track.

Tip: Man City win @ 4/6 (bet365)

Bet explanation: Man City must outscore Nottingham Forest at the City Ground to win this bet.

Crystal Palace vs Liverpool, Sunday, 14:00 GMT

Crystal Palace vs Liverpool
Crystal Palace vs LiverpoolFlashscore

Crystal Palace are third from bottom in the league after three straight defeats. The Eagles lost 5-0 at Brighton, 2-0 at home to Newcastle, and by the same scoreline at Tottenham in a London derby late last month.

Liverpool started round 10 in fifth place, with four wins, three draws, and two defeats this season. The Reds recently beat Brentford 2-1 in London, and Brighton 2-0 at Anfield, but lost 1-0 at home to Arsenal on the opening day of November.

Andoni Iraola has led his Liverpool team to victory in each of their last three Premier League away games, and bookmakers have them as favourites to make it four.

Opta Stats show the Spanish boss is unbeaten in all 13 of his Premier League away games this year, with his most recent loss coming at Brentford last December.

Checking the updated head-to-head stats at Flashscore, I noticed that the Reds beat the Eagles 3-1 when the teams last met, thanks to goals from Alexander Isak, Andrew Robertson and Florian Wirtz.

Liverpool lost to Fenerbahce in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, and Palace host Hoffenheim in the Europa League on Thursday. There will be a few tired legs in both camps, but an extra day to recover and a stronger squad will give Liverpool an edge.

Tip: Liverpool win @ 13/20 (bet365)

Bet explanation: The margin of victory and goalscorers aren't important here. All you're interested in is Liverpool beating Crystal Palace and taking all three points back to Anfield on Sunday evening.

Sunderland vs Chelsea, Sunday, 14:00 GMT

Sunderland vs Chelsea
Sunderland vs ChelseaFlashscore

Bottom club Sunderland aim for only their second win of a difficult season. The only problem for the Black Cats is that they must defeat Chelsea to get back on track.

Sunderland are rooted to the bottom of the division, with stats of one win, two draws, and six defeats. They've scored seven goals and conceded 17. One point gained from the last 18 available suggests a turnaround in fortunes isn't due anytime soon.

Chelsea have been far from convincing so far under Xabi Alonso, with five wins, one draw, and three losses. The Blues are fourth in the table, thanks to three wins in four, but remain eight points behind leaders Arsenal.

The visitors played four league games last month, thrashing Bournemouth 5-1 and beating Everton 2-0. They suffered a surprise 2-0 home defeat to Spurs, but responded by beating Man Utd by the same scoreline.

At home in October, the Black Cats lost 2-0 to Brighton, and ended goalless against Leeds United. On the road, they lost 2-0 at Bournemouth and 3-1 at Coventry City.

I expect Chelsea to win here, and the odds make it a good bet. You'll get 10/11 on the away win. For your stake, you're getting the team with the most shots on target so far this term at 53. They line up against the bottom of the league with a -10 goal difference, with only Crystal Palace worse off at -12.

In the last nine rounds, Sunderland have scored an average of 0.77 goals per game and conceded 1.88. In the same period, Chelsea have scored 2.11 goals per game, and conceded 1.66.

Back Chelsea's big-name attackers to fire them to a sixth win of the season, and fourth in five games.

Tip: Chelsea win @ 10/11 (bet365)

Bet explanation: You'll get solid odds on Chelsea scoring more goals than a Sunderland team that's bottom of the league and on a losing streak.

Man Utd vs Aston Villa, Sunday, 16:30 GMT

Man Utd vs Aston Villa
Man Utd vs Aston VillaFlashscore

I'll round things off with a prediction on the top-of-the-bill heavyweight tussle between Manchester United and Aston Villa.

The head-to-head stats show that Man Utd have lost just two of their last 31 Premier League home matches against Aston Villa, but we must dig much deeper.

The Red Devils are winless in seven league matches, drawing four and losing three. That's their worst return since April 2025. They are also one of only two teams in the top flight of English football without a clean sheet, with Ipswich the other.

Man Utd conceded seven goals in four league games. They leaked 13 in six in all competitions, four in the Premier League and two in the Champions League.

Aston Villa have won each of their last two Premier League away days, beating Newcastle 1-0 and Tottenham 3-2.

In October, Unai Emery's men thumped Fenerbahce 6-0 and Viking 3-1 in the Champions League. They also edged Man City 2-1 in the EPL.

Tip: Aston Villa win @ 2/1 (bet365)

Bet explanation: Villa don't win many games at Old Trafford, but the odds are good, and the home team's poor form makes Villa worth a bet.
