The Los Angeles Kings finally earned their first win of the season after defeating the Washington Capitals 5-2 during Tuesday night's slate of action!

Kings 5-2 Capitals

Despite being outshot 32-26, the Kings rallied from down 2-0 with five straight unanswered goals for their first win. Adrian Kempe scored twice, bringing his season total up to three, while Artemi Panarin finished the night with a goal (4) and two assists.

Goalie Darcy Kuemper earned his second 30-save performance of the season through five starts. Kings move to 1-4-2 as they became the final team to earn a win; the Caps dropped to 5-4-0.

Sharks 4-3 Canadiens

Macklin Celebrini scored both the first and final goal for the San Jose Sharks in their stellar comeback win over the Montreal Canadiens. After going down 3-1, the Sharks battled back in the third with Michael Misa's first goal of the season and the game's only power-play goal in regulation from Tyler Toffoli (3), also assisted by Celebrini, to send it to OT.

From there, it was the Sharks' young superstar who put the Canadiens to bed with an OT power-play goal for his fifth of the season.

Montreal's first line of Cole Caufield-Juraj Slafkovsky-Nick Suzuki scored all three of their goals. They currently make up 13 of the team's 25 goals this season as the Habs fell to 4-3-2, while the Sharks improved to 5-4-1.

Devils 4-3 Avalanche

The New Jersey Devils held on as they got back in the win column with a tight win over the Colorado Avalanche.

After taking a 4-1 lead deep into the third period, Colorado's Artturi Lehkonen scored a pair of goals (eight total this season) to bring them within one, but New Jersey's Jake Allen held on in net after finishing with 31 saves on the night.

The Devils have yet to finish a game with fewer than 30 shots on goal through their first nine game as they improved to 5-4-0. Meanwhile, the Avs dropped their second in a row as they fell to 5-4-1.

Islanders 3-2 Ducks

A late power play goal from Simon Holmstrom (4) in the second period was all that was needed for the New York Islanders to hold on for the win over the Anaheim Ducks.

It's their first win of the season where they held their opponent to fewer than 20 shots on goal (ANA - 17). They improved to 5-3-1, while the Ducks have now lost four straight as they fell to 4-5-0.

Maple Leafs 6-2 Blue Jackets

Kirill Marchenko (5) scored a power-play goal to tie things up 1-1 heading into the second frame. That's when the Maple Leafs caught fire. They went on to score four goals on nine shots, the first less than a minute apart.

Columbus outshot Toronto a whopping 37-22, including 14-3 in the third period. Charlie Coyle scored his first of the season to bring them within three, but the game was far out of reach by then.

Maple Leafs star Auston Matthews now has eight goals and 10 assists through nine games to start the season after putting up one of each in the win.

Toronto improved to 5-4-2 after winning back-to-back. Columbus now sits at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with a 3-5-0 record.

Blues 2-1 Jets

A pair of goals from Jimmy Snuggerud (5) in the first and the eventual game-winner from Philip Broberg (2) on the team's fifth and final power play of the night is all that was needed to hold off the Winnipeg Jets.

It now marks back-to-back 30+ save performances for goalie Joel Hofer, who finished with 32 tonight.

The St. Louis Blues get back in the win column as they're back up to 4-4-1. As for the Jets, they dropped their second straight, falling to 4-3-1.

Stars 3-2 Bruins

Mikko Rantanen (5) completed his 11th career hat trick after scoring the game-winning goal in overtime during a 4-on-3 power play. The Dallas Stars' win broke the Bruins' league-leading five-game win streak as they dropped to 7-3.

Rantan also scored the goal that tied it up to send it to OT. The win marks Dallas' fifth (5-3-1) as they have now won three straight, outscoring opponents 10-4 in that span.

Oilers 4-3 Wild

Connor McDavid continued to be from another planet as he reached 26 points on the season through nine games after racking up three assists in the Oilers' overtime win on Tuesday.

He recorded an assist on both of Leon Draisaitl's (8) power-play goals and then recorded his 20th of the season on Evan Bouchard's (7) overtime winner. Edmonton improved to 7-1-1 as they remain the only team in the league with fewer than two losses in regulation.

Kirill Kaprizov continues to lead the league in goals after scoring his 11th of the season. But the Wild dropped to 6-2-2.

Kraken 4-3 Red Wings

Canucks 3-6 Hurricanes

Golden Knights 2-8 Lightning
