How did Great Britain qualify for the 2026 World Championship?
Britain recorded just one win at the 2024 World Championship, finishing bottom of their eight-team group and suffering relegation to the Division I Group A in Romania for 2025.
They fared much better in the second-tier tournament, winning all five games by beating Ukraine, Romania, Japan, Italy and Poland.
The flawless campaign earned Britain promotion and a gold medal for topping the standings ahead of Italy, who also moved up with a second-place finish.
Liam Kirk, an NHL draft pick of the Arizona Coyotes in 2018, led Britain's scoring with seven points (three goals and four assists) in just three games.
Goaltender Ben Bowns recorded a 96.12% save percentage, a 1.30 goals against average and one shutout in three games.
