We've arrived at the Last 16 stage of the English League Cup, with eight matches played between Tuesday and Thursday evening.
Most fixtures kick off on Wednesday, including an intriguing tie at Anfield, where Premier League giants Liverpool and Chelsea meet from 20:00 GMT.
Will the Reds use home advantage to book their place in the next round, or will the Blues march on?

Liverpool vs Chelsea betting tips
Liverpool to qualify @ 4/5 (bet365)
Gakpo to score @ 21/10 (bet365)
Odds courtesy of bet365. Correct at the time of publication and subject to change.
To qualify - Liverpool
My first pick is Liverpool to qualify at odds of 4/5 (bet365).
You'll get 29/20 on the home win, but that market only covers 90 minutes. The to qualify market covers you for 90 minutes, extra time, and penalties. If Liverpool advance to the next stage, this bet lands and you'll enjoy a profit.
Andoni Iraola's men thrashed Tottenham 3-1 at this venue in the previous round, despite resting several regular starters. The Reds now face a tougher challenge, and I expect a near full-strength starting XI.
Chelsea last won at Anfield in March 2021, thanks to a Mason Mount goal just before half-time. The five matches since have produced two draws and three wins, with the Reds winning the previous three encounters.
Looking at the clubs' recent results, Chelsea lost 2-0 at home to lowly Tottenham on Saturday in the Premier League. That puts Xabi Alonso's side fifth in the table, after two defeats and a draw in five.
Liverpool sit one place higher in the EPL than their visitors, with three wins, one draw, and a defeat in five.
After an important first home league win of the season on Sunday, beating Brighton 2-0, and a 4-3 Champions League win over Villarreal, I'm backing the Reds to collect three in a row.
Tip: Liverpool to qualify @ 4/5 (bet365)
Bet explanation: If Liverpool progress to the next round of the League Cup, you win and bank a profit.
Match goals - 2-4
My second Liverpool v Chelsea prediction comes from the match goals market. I'm picking Wednesday evening's showdown to produce between two and four goals.
Followers are betting on the combined goals from both teams. That means a 2-0 home win pays the same as a 2-2 draw or a 3-0 Chelsea upset win. You're only concerned with the number of goals, not the winning team or the scorers, meaning you can cheer every strike.
Let's check how these English football rivals have performed so far this month.
In October domestic matches, Liverpool averaged 1.33 goals for and 1.33 against. They lost 3-0 at Anfield to Man City, beat Brentford 2-1 in London, and scored that comfortable 2-0 over Brentford here just three days ago.
Chelsea have also played three games in October, averaging 2.33 goals for and 1.0 against. They hammered Bournemouth 5-1 and Everton 2-0, before losing 2-0 to Spurs on Saturday.
Betting on 2-4 match goals was a smart play in each of Chelsea's last three away games. The same bet landed in each of Liverpool's last three home games.
One last point: the head-to-head stats on the Flashscore app show that 2-4 goals was a winning bet in each of the previous four meetings between the Reds and Blues.
You can follow the form and back 2-4 in the match goals market as a single, but it'll work best in your midweek Liverpool v Chelsea Bet Builders.
Tip: 2-4 match goals @ 4/7 (bet365)
Bet explanation: The winning team isn't important for this bet. You need Liverpool vs Chelsea to produce between two and four goals from both clubs combined.
Anytime scorer - Gakpo
As ever, my third and final prediction carries the highest odds, aimed at bettors who prefer to keep their stakes low but aim high.
I've selected Dutch forward Cody Gakpo to score against Chelsea at Anfield on Wednesday evening before a global TV audience.
Gakpo enters this match having scored two goals in eight appearances this season. The 27-year-old opened his account with a strike in a thrilling 2-2 draw at St James' Park back in August. His second, and most recent goal, came at Anfield in a 3-1 win over Spurs in the previous round of this tournament.
The stats show Gakpo loves playing in the League Cup. Did you know the former PSV attacker has scored six goals in his last eight appearances? That leapt off the page at me, and is strong enough to merit a bet.
Gakpo scored 19 goals in 68 appearances for club and country last term. That run includes a goal at Stamford Bridge last October in a 2-1 Premier League defeat for his employers.
You can target odds of 8/1 on Cody to score first against Chelsea, but I'm happy with the 21/10 available in the anytime scorer market. That bet is live for the entire time Gakpo is on the field of play. A stunning goal within 60 seconds is just as good as a late tap-in.
Tip: Gakpo to score @ 21/10 (bet365)
Bet explanation: If Cody Gakpo scores first, last, or at any time, this bet wins, and you'll profit. You can follow as a single or add to your midweek multiples, including accumulators and Liverpool vs Chelsea Bet Builders.
