It's one of the most famous fixtures in world football, and a fiercely contested local derby.
Rangers welcome Glasgow neighbours Celtic to Ibrox for a League Cup quarter-final showdown that has kept pundits guessing. Will Derek McInnes lead his Gers into a semi-final appearance at Hampden, or will Martin O'Neill's Hoops march on?

Double chance - Rangers or draw
My first pick in Sunday's Old Firm Derby is on Rangers or draw in the double chance market.
Followers have a two-in-three chance of landing a profit, covered by the home win or the derby ending in a draw. Both possible outcomes pay the same, and the odds will do a job in your weekend accumulators, including Bet Builders.
I'll be pitchside at Ibrox, and expect a closely fought match, with plenty of talking points and the usual drama. But this bet keeps things simple.
Celtic have been faultless in the Premiership so far, winning six out of six, scoring 14 goals, and conceding just three. Sunday's clash comes in the League Cup, and with away fans banned from the stadium following last season's disorder, the hosts have a vital edge.
The recent head-to-head supports this approach
The three Old Firm Derbies played at Ibrox last season all produced draws. The rivals ended goalless in the Premiership and Scottish Cup, either side of a memorable 2-2 draw.
Let's now check how Rangers have been performing of late.
In four domestic games at Ibrox, they've won their last three and scored seven goals. They beat Motherwell 1-0 here last weekend, before sinking St Mirren by the same scoreline just four days ago.
Derek McInnes has watched his team improve, but one of the strongest reasons for me taking Rangers on the double chance market is the absence of Celtic fans at Ibrox.
Tip: Rangers or draw @ 1/2 (bet365)
Bet explanation: If Rangers avoid defeat at home to Celtic in regulation time, your bet wins.
Total goals - Under 3.5
The second of my Rangers v Celtic League Cup quarter-final betting predictions is on the match to produce fewer than four goals.
If you're unfamiliar with this bet, it's much simpler than it seems. You're not interested in which team qualifies for the semi-finals, who scores, and when. Your stake rests on the total goals scored by both clubs. A 0-0 draw is as good as a 2-1 win.
Returning to the H2H, backing under four goals provided a profit in four of the last five derbies played in Govan. That run stretches back to January 2025, and includes two goalless draws and a 1-1 finish.
Rangers have played 11 games in all competitions so far this term. A bet on under 3.5 goals paid out 10 times. That's worth noting when risking your cash.
Switching to Celtic, the Hoops have played nine games to date. Under 3.5 goals was a smart bet six times, including in each of their previous four.
Nerves always play a big part in this fixture, and I don't expect either Derek McInnes or Martin O'Neill to throw caution to the wind and set up to attack.
Tip: Under 3.5 goals @ 2/5 (bet365)
Bet explanation: You'll boost your betting balance if Rangers v Celtic produces fewer than four goals in 90 minutes.
Player booked - Liam Scales
My third and final Old Firm prediction has the best odds attached. The price is good enough to catch the attention of single backers, but I'm also confident it'll be popular in Bet Builders.
I'm backing Celtic defender Liam Scales to be booked. It doesn't matter when he's booked or why, but it's important to know this market doesn't extend to extra time.
Why am I convinced Scales will be one of the players booked in this fierce derby? The history and recent performances suggest we're onto a good thing.
The 28-year-old Irishman was cautioned by the referee last time these teams met. He was one of eight players added to the book at Celtic Park that day. Scales was also booked in his last game at Ibrox.
What about the early exchanges of this campaign?
Scales received a yellow card in Celtic's 1-0 win over St Johnstone in midweek.
Skip the drama of the result and bet on Scales to be booked. Your wager is live for the entire time the defender is on the field, and it's easy to follow while watching the match.
Looking at his 2025/26 season stats, Liam was booked in 30.6% of his 62 appearances for club and country. That's strong enough to get my vote, and the odds are better than I expected to find.
Tip: Scales to be booked @ 11/10 (bet365)
Bet explanation: You need Celtic defender Liam Scales to be added to the referee's notebook on Sunday.
