Atletico Madrid are in the midst of their own 'big week', with Bayern and Barcelona both visiting the Metropolitano, where Atleti had won every match they had played this season.

The Germans dealt Simeone's side a heavy blow, outplaying them and winning 2-0 in the Champions League.

Now Barcelona are next, and the rojiblancos know they will take top spot in the league if they win on Sunday.

Barcelona know all about big weeks going down the drain this season. Defeats by PSG and Madrid within a few days were tough for the Catalans, who had won all their matches by a comfortable margin up to that point.

Big wins over Alavés in the league and Aston Villa in the Champions League helped restore the team's confidence.

However, just as happened in the week when they faced the Parisians and Los Blancos, the Spanish league fixture is the one Barcelona consider most important. These are our tips for the match.

Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona: Betting tips

Over 2.5 goals and both teams to score - 1/2 @ bet365

Barcelona to win more corners - 4/5 @ bet365

Raphinha to score or assist - 4/7 @ bet365

Odds correct at time of writing, subject to change.

Three or more goals and both teams to score

As mentioned above, Barça's visit to the Metropolitano is always one of the matches of the year in LaLiga EA Sports. We are expecting action and goals, with tension, challenges and plenty of intensity.

The most recent meetings between these sides have followed that pattern, particularly those played in Madrid.

The last four league meetings between the teams — all those played since Flick arrived in Barcelona — have featured three or more goals in total, with both sides scoring.

The same has also happened in two of Barça's three visits to the Metropolitano in all competitions last season.

These statistics have not been particularly common in Atletico's home matches this season, but they have occurred in both league visits by Champions League teams to the Metropolitano this term — Villarreal and Real Madrid — and in nine of Barça's last 11 matches in all competitions.

Tip: Over 2.5 goals and both teams to score - 1/2 @ bet365

Bet Explanation: This bet wins if the total number of goals in the match is three or more and both teams score at least once.

More corners for Barça

Barcelona are known to try to attack, and Atletico have never looked particularly uncomfortable in that sort of game, whether they win or lose. It is true that the rojiblancos drew level with Bayern on corners and that Barça even won fewer than Aston Villa, to mention the outcomes of this week's Champions League matches.

However, the Catalans have won more corners than the rojiblancos in the last seven meetings between the sides, and in nine of the last 10.

In other words, since Flick arrived at Barça, the Catalans and the Rojiblancos have met 10 times in all competitions. In every one bar one — Barça's 4-2 league win in the German coach's first season, when both teams won six corners — Barcelona have taken more corners than Atletico.

So far in the league, Barça are the second team to have won the most corners, with 76, behind only Villarreal (80). Atletico Madrid have reached 63 and sit fifth in this table, behind Real Sociedad (73) and Real Madrid (70).

Tip: Barcelona to win more corners - 4/5 @ bet365

Bet Explanation: This bet wins if Barça take more corners in the match than Atletico Madrid.

Raphinha to score or assist

Barcelona need Raphinha at his best, and that is what they are getting this season. The Brazilian attacker missed key matches last season through injury.

Among them, Raphinha was absent for Atletico's 4-0 thrashing of Barça in the Copa del Rey, which ultimately cost the Catalan side their place in the competition, as well as both Champions League quarter-final meetings between the teams last season, when Atletico eliminated Barça once again.

But the truth is that Raphinha tends to perform well against the Colchoneros. He has scored or assisted in seven of the nine matches in which he has started against Atletico Madrid since joining Barcelona.

His form this season is also encouraging for Barça. The only match in which the Barcelona attacker has started since the beginning of the current campaign without scoring or assisting — including club and country — was the trip to PSG, when he played for an hour and was returning from the injury he suffered with Brazil.

Tip: Raphinha to score or assist - 4/7 @ bet365

This bet wins if Raphinha records at least one goal or assist in the match.
