Rangers have won their last four meetings with St Mirren, but three of those have been by a single-goal margin.
It was early on in Derek McInnes’ reign that the Gers crept over the line against these opponents back in September, with Bojan Miovski’s injury-time goal securing Rangers the three points that – on the balance of play – they probably just about deserved.

St Mirren have only lost one of their last four games against the Glaswegians on home soil, mind you, with a 2-1 win back in December 2024 followed by a pair of draws.
Much has changed for both sides since then, but can the Buddies maintain what is a pretty good record against Rangers in front of their own fans?

Low-key affair
To offer a flavour of how St Mirren go about their business, we're diving straight into some stats.
Seven of their last nine games have witnessed three goals or fewer.
This is a betting line that would have landed in four of the last five meetings between Rangers and St Mirren too, so we’re happy to jump back on the train here knowing that McInnes’ men aren’t the flashiest of sides going forward – but certainly know how to defend.
Rangers miss the class of the injured Lawrence Shankland, and much of their best work has come at Ibrox this term. On the road, they’ve scored just nine goals in six games, while those half-dozen outings have witnessed just 15 goals all in – an average of 2.5 per game.
St Mirren’s home games have been marginally more entertaining, but only once in six have fans witnessed four or more goals on the day.
Tip: Under 3.5 Goals @ 4/7 (Bet365)
Explanation: Our bet lands if there are three or fewer goals in the game.
In range
Of course, we do expect there to be at least one goal in this contest.
Rangers are a superior side to St Mirren, and they have scored at least once in every single one of their games in domestic competition this term.
But do we expect them to run riot at the Marbill Coaches Stadium on Saturday? There’s not a great deal about their recent away form to suggest as much, while meetings between these sides have largely been low-scoring fare – certainly less than four, at least.
And that’s what we're doing here; effectively tying to swerve a 0-0 draw and any result of four goals or more. We’re comfortable with both of those possibilities.
Tip: Match Goals Range: 1-3 @ 4/6 (Bet365)
Explanation: Our bet lands if there are a total of one, two or three goals in the game, regardless of which team scores.
Gift Cards
Sometimes the price dictates the bet, and that’s what we have here with an appetising selection at a meaty price.
St Mirren rank first in the Scottish Premiership for cards shown, first for tackles made and second for fouls committed – these Saints do not live up to their name.
In their last three outings, the Buddies have been shown five, four and five cards, so they alone could pass this Over 4.5 line.
And don’t write off Rangers picking up a card or two as well. They have some feisty players that don’t mind getting embroiled in some silliness.
The Gers picked up four yellows in their last Scottish Premiership outing against Hearts, two against Dundee prior to that and even against St Johnstone, in one of the most one-sided games of football you’ll ever see, they received a yellow card.
At an odds-against price, we’re happy to take a chance on another card-heavy contest.
Tip: Over 4.5 Cards @ 6/5 (Bet365)
Explanation: Our bet lands if there are five or more cards (yellow or red) shown in this game.
