World Cup 2026
The 2026 World Cup will be held from June 11th to July 19th in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The tournament will feature 48 national teams and will be played in 16 modern stadiums.

12:20 BST - France boss Didier Deschamps missed the win due to attending the funeral of his mother, but assistant manager Guy Stephan confirmed he will return this weekend.
"Obviously I am thinking a lot about Didier. I will talk to him later but we are all really pleased that he is coming back really soon and he will be at training tomorrow afternoon."

12:12 BST - France's win came against a weakened Norway side, with manager Stale Solbakken defending his decision to rest stars like Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard.
"It was a no-brainer, for me, for the physio and for the medical staff, and for some of the players themselves," he said.
"They would have wanted to see Erling and Martin but we want to go as far as we can so it was a no-brainer. It didn't take us long to come to that decision."

12:05 BST - Ousmane Dembele netted a hat-trick for France last night in a 4-1 win against Norway, continuing their run of topping their World Cup group for the fourth consecutive tournament. Only Brazil (11) and Germany (seven) have done it more times in a row.
11:55 BST - Senegal helped to book their spot in the last 32 with a 5-0 battering of Iraq, although manager Pape Thiaw admitted they still need to improve. One of their likely opponents in the next round is England.
"Even though we scored five goals, there are still improvements to be made," he told reporters.
